Troy Geer made the long journey from Northern Ohio to Southern Tennessee count, securing his first career victory at the Raccoon Creek Outfitters National Kayak Catfishing Trail: Nickajack. Now in his third season on the trail, Geer joins the likes of Ryan Bortz and Justin Johnston (Kayak Catfish) as champions of the event. The Ohio native logged more than nine hours on the road to compete, showing the dedication it takes to reach the winner’s circle. With his first win now under his belt, it will be exciting to see how Geer carries this momentum into the upcoming Sandusky event on June 20th. Fishing much closer to home, the Ohio angler could be one to watch heading into the next stop on the trail.

Georgia native Trevor Dorsett continued his impressive consistency at the Raccoon Creek Outfitters National Kayak Catfishing Trail: Nickajack, securing a 2nd place finish for the second straight year. Now in his third season on the trail, the local angler proved just how tough the Nickajack bite was tournament day while still managing to put together a strong performance. Trevor has a YouTube channel, Kayak Quest, where viewers can regularly catch him chasing and landing big fish on this stretch of river. Be sure to give Kayak Quest a like and subscribe to follow Trevor’s journey and watch him compete throughout the OCT season.

Ohio native Kyle Harman continued his strong run on the Raccoon Creek Outfitters National Kayak Catfishing Trail, earning back-to-back 3rd place finishes while also taking home Big Fish honors at Nickajack. The tournament veteran made the more than six-hour drive from Ohio to Southern Tennessee. Harman has become one of the most consistent names in the series, and his momentum only seems to be growing as the season rolls on. With the upcoming Sandusky event on June 20th approaching, many will be watching to see how the Ohio angler performs closer to home waters — and whether fishing buddy Sheen Ware will continue making the journey alongside him this season.
