Congratulations to the Earlham Quakers and Coach Schaefer for winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship and securing an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
David and I were thrilled to be there to watch it all happen yesterday!
So proud of this team and coaching staff.

I’ll post additional pictures, but I wanted to start with two traditions that we’ve missed…the entire dance family being together for the team prayer on stage before we start the recital and senior fun dance. Our hearts are full knowing that things are back to the way they should be. Special thank you to Tracy Mullins Tamara Wiesmann Frey Kimberly Ferris for helping to restart these traditions after a long break.

I texted a few folks about something I saw and felt on stage left back stage on Friday night…my heart recognized a shift and I cannot tell you how proud I am of how we as a group can make that become a reality. Dancers who lead with smiles ♥️ on their faces and love in their hearts.

Did you know that the next time we have a recital my granddaughter will be in it?
Maybe that’s a hint for next years theme!!! ??

Every year we invite the family of our senior dancer(s) to choose a special guest to come out and surprise our senior during their senior dance! This person is someone the family chooses to come and work with me and learn a dance, so that they can suddenly appear on the stage next to the senior and dance with them ❤️ it’s always a big moment on stage.

We love this tradition and are so glad it’s back!!

These guests spend a ton of time with me learning the choreography and sharing special memories about their senior while we work to make them into dancers. I am in awe of how serious these guests take the privilege of being selected and how hard they work to make their seniors proud.

Please be on the look out for Rachel’s special surprise guest on Friday night at our 35th annual recital…and just you wait until it’s your turn to choose your dancer or twirler’s surprise guest!
