RPE stands for Rate of Perceived Exertion.
In other words: how hard did that actually feel?

At Findlay, we use RPE to guide effort instead of chasing random weights or comparing numbers with the person next to you. It helps you train at the right intensity for your body, your experience level, and your energy that day.

An RPE 8 for one person might look completely different for someone else. That’s the point. Same workout, different bodies, smart effort.

Some days the weight moves fast.
Some days it feels heavy.
Both are normal.

The goal isn’t to max out every session. The goal is consistent, intentional progress.

If you’re ever unsure what your RPE should be, ask your coach. We’re here to help you find the right effort. 💚

Findlay Movement is stepping into a new chapter, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the people carrying it forward. Anya and Sergio are officially the new owners of the gym, and we’re so excited for what that means for our community.

This gym has always been more than a place to work out. It was built on care, consistency, and genuine connection by Sarah and Patrick. Their vision created something rare. A space where people feel seen, supported, and challenged in the best ways. That foundation matters, and it’s being honored.

Anya and Sergio understand what makes Findlay special. They lead with integrity, intention, and deep respect for the legacy that came before them, while also bringing fresh energy and thoughtful vision for the future. The heart of this place remains the same, and the path forward feels strong.

We’re incredibly thankful, incredibly proud, and truly excited to see Findlay Movement continue to grow under their leadership. This community is in good hands.

Five years ago Tony walked into Findlay Movement looking for a new challenge before stunt school. He wasn’t new to fitness, but he wanted a deeper perspective. He found a community that pushed him physically and expanded him personally.

Today he’s stronger in every way. At 32 he’s hitting his best numbers ever. Heavier lifts, faster miles, muscle ups for reps, and a level of confidence built from choosing hard things over and over again. The work in the gym made him more resilient, more open, and less afraid to fail.

Some moments stand out. The first bar muscle up and the class celebrating with him. The sub-six mile finish with coaches cheering at the garage doors. The DBall mile carries where even strangers on the street were shouting encouragement.

Coaching has been a ten out of ten. Every coach breaking things down in a way that clicked. What he wishes more people knew: this is a place where it’s okay to fail. You will be supported every step.

Five years in. Carrying forward the lessons from Patrick and Sarah. And still just getting started.

For the past decade, Sarah has poured her heart, vision, and unwavering commitment into Findlay Movement. She helped build this place brick by brick, through long days, tough seasons, and joyful victories. Always guided by the belief that people deserve a place where fitness feels meaningful, sustainable, and deeply human.

As we celebrate her final workout with us in this chapter, we honor the ten years she spent nurturing a community rooted in connection, growth, and the courage to show up for ourselves and each other. The workout she created today is more than commemoration, it’s a reflection of the grit, intention, and spirit she’s brought to FMFC since day one.

Sarah, thank you for giving so much of yourself to this space and to the people in it. Your impact will continue to echo in every rep, every fist bump, and every moment where someone chooses the long game.

We are better because you were here and we’ll miss you deeply. 💚

The holidays are a good reminder of why we do this. Strong bodies, real connections, and a community that shows up for each other inside and outside the gym.

The cookie exchange was a hit, and everyone made it home with cookies to share, save, or eat on the drive home. 🎄🎅🏻❄️

Failure isn’t the opposite of progress.
It is progress.

Every missed rep, every shaky attempt, every “not quite”…
That’s where strength actually gets built.

Strong community starts with a strong team.

Yesterday was a night out with the Findlay team escaping rooms and sharing a meal.

We’re proud of the people behind the programming and the heart of this gym. 💚

Every workout has a soundtrack.

This is the music your coaches used all year to hype you up, pace the grind, and survive the last set. Thanks for letting us be part of your moments on and off the floor. 💚
