We are out of state for this post, but this is 4.5 hours north of Cincy just outside Battle Creek MI.
I highly recommend you visit this place.
Some of the activities include fishing, kayaking, boating, hiking, mountain biking, and primitive camping. There are wetlands here so bugs are plenty, but can be managed. Stunning views, beach and picnic areas. $11/ day entry for non-resident.
