π A Friendly Reminder from Your M.E. Lyons YMCAπ
The Y is a place where everyone should feel welcome, safe, and respected. Our staff work hard every day to serve our members and create a positive experience for all, and a little kindness truly goes a long way.
As a reminder, we ask all members and guests to:
β
Treat staff, members, and visitors with kindness and respect
β
Use appropriate language and avoid profanity
β
Follow our smoke-free campus policy β smoking and va**ng are not permitted anywhere on YMCA property
We understand that everyone has challenging days, but we can all help create an environment where people feel valued, supported, and comfortable. Our YMCA is strongest when we treat one another with caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Thank you for helping us make the Y a welcoming place for everyone. Together, we can continue building a positive community where all people can belong, connect, and thrive. π

π Happy Father's Day from the M.E. Lyons YMCA! π
Today, we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, coaches, mentors, and role models who help shape the lives of those around them.
Thank you for the lessons taught, the encouragement given, the games played, the shoulders carried on, and the countless moments that build strong families and stronger communities.
Whether you're cheering from the sidelines, teaching life's important lessons, making a splash in the pool, or simply being there when it matters most, your impact is felt every day.
Wishing all the amazing fathers and father figures in our YMCA family a day filled with love, laughter, and special memories with those you cherish most.
Happy Father's Day! π

ππ Lifeguard of the Week: Khader ππ
Join us in congratulating Khader on being named this week's Lifeguard of the Week!
Khader recently demonstrated exceptional vigilance and professionalism by successfully responding to a save, showing the awareness, quick decision-making, and calm leadership that help keep our members safe every day.
But his impact doesn't stop there. Khader consistently goes above and beyond by covering shifts, helping wherever needed on the pool deck, passing audits with flying colors, and always stepping up with a positive attitude and team-first mindset.
At the YMCA, we call people like Khader our Everyday Heroesβthose who quietly make a difference through their dedication, service, and commitment to others.
Thank you, Khader, for all you do to keep our pool safe, welcoming, and fun for everyone. We are proud to have you on Team Lyons! ππ

Juneteenth honors the day that news of emancipation reached the last group of enslaved people in America: June 19, 1865. On this day, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the commitment to create lasting change together.
βJuneteenth has never been a celebration of victory or an acceptance of the way things are. Itβs a celebration of progress.β Barack Obama
Juneteenth is a time to celebrate freedom, honor the past, and uplift the future weβre building together.
As we come together in community, we also recognize the ongoing work to ensure equity, opportunity, and justice for all.
Letβs celebrate, connect, and continue moving freedom forward together.
