Our next all-wheels group rollout is โœจ๏ธTUESDAY 4/21โœจ๏ธ at 7 p.m. in Clifton, guest-curated by Owen Campbell!

A legend among us, Owen is largely credited with reactivating our local longboarding scene and helping to put the Midwest on the map ๐Ÿ™Œ (Fun fact: his Cincinnati Longboard Crew beginner slide sessions attracted Cori Wolff to downhill, LDP, and the welcoming community that ultimately influenced the creation of Social Push Cincy! ๐Ÿฆบ) He's a universally beloved rider who deserves all the flowers for the skill, expertise, and mentorship he brings to our sport ๐Ÿ›น

โณ๏ธ How long have you been skating?

18 years

โš™๏ธ Tell us about your setup.

I like to ride a nimble board with big wheels for doing controlled slides at high speeds. I'm always reviewing new equipment for YouTube, so I rarely ride the same setup twice.

โค๏ธ What do you love most about riding?

My favorite part of skateboarding is the self-improvement. Going 1mph faster, sliding 1ft farther, and constantly improving my technique.

๐ŸŽ‰ Name a goal you have for yourself related to skating.

One of my biggest goals is to be courageous enough to race at Soldiers of Downhill. That hill gives me a mental block like no other.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Tell us something interesting about yourself.

I'm 6'7", and when people ask if I play basketball, I truthfully tell them, "No, I play the clarinet."

๐Ÿ’ก Who/what inspires you?

I'm inspired by people who are smart and brave. I love seeing folks make calculated risks that pay off. That's what all my favorite skateboarders do.

๐ŸŒ What's your favorite place to ride?

My favorite hill of all time is in Eden Park descending from Spencer Overlook. It has extremely rough pavement with technical corners that will always challenge me.

๐ŸŽต Name a song that motivates you.

Check out "Soldiers of Downhill 2025 | 35 All Grip" on the 35 All Grip YouTube channel.

๐Ÿค” Anything else we should know?

If you have questions about how to improve or upgrade your longboard or skateboard, please get in touch with me! I pride myself on my knowledge of gear.
