ALL ⭐️ GAME! Congratulations to our All Stars, Oscar and Ben, who got to play one final match amongst the very best high school seniors in the entire Sac-Joaquin section 👏🏼 Thank you for putting on such a wonderful event.

HUGE congratulations to our very own Ben Lee and Oscar Acosta on making the optimist all star team! make sure to go out and support your mavs this sunday at 11am🤘💚🧡!

wasn’t the results that we hoped for but honestly at the end of the day we are so proud of our boys. They played and fought so hard last night with so much heart, but for now your 2026 Mavs are singing out until next season! and to the CO ‘26 we will miss you so much!🧡💚

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🔦! Last but not least, #13 ALEX DEMCHUK

Alex is strong and mighty but in reality he is one of the sweetest people you will meet, is kindness is so easily shown as for his love for his team. Every game you can see he puts his all into it, always the loudest on and off the court, and always celebrating whether it is his own achievements or his teams.

He has played all four years in our program and has exhibited tremendous heart and dedication. His favorite volleyball memories were from all practices and games and being able to watch himself and his team improve. He is also proud to see how much our volleyball program has grown at our school. Advice for the younger members, “Enjoy your time here, enjoy your life and try to be the kindest guy on the team.”

After high school Alex plans to enlist in the Marines.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🔦! #8 STEFAN ZASOV

Stefan has played in our program for just two years but quickly became an integral part of our lineup. After rapidly developing on JV last year, we pulled him up to varsity for playoffs.

Being a Versatile hitter wether we need him to, play middle, oppo, or even just support the team it’s always followed by a yes coach.

He thoroughly enjoyed his time playing volleyball and will miss it deeply.

He would like to send a special thanks to Alex for always being there for him.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🔦! #6 Charles Hubbard

Charlie has played four years on our program with this year being his first year on varsity, As he continues to learn and grow he supports his team loud and proud no matter the circumstance.

His favorite volleyball memory was when he served a game-winning ace. His advice for the younger members in our program is to be open-minded and welcome feedback from your coaches.

After high school Charlie plans to attend American River College.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🔦! #5 STEVEN BOONE

Boone’s positivity radiates throughout the team, there’s never a day he goes without a smile.

Steven has played all four years and served as team captain sophomore and senior years. His favorite volleyball memory was team bonding last year when the team ate at Ciro’s Pizza and went to the William Jessup game. Advice for the younger members of the program, “Appreciate your teammates, listen to your coach’s advice and have fun!”

After high school Steven plans to become a firefighter paramedic.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🔦! #4 VERNON STAHL

Vernons love for the game shows from the way he shows up even when it gets hard to. Vernon has played four years in our program serving as a captain sophomore and senior years.

If he could only pick one favorite memory, it would be winning 1st place at the Stockton Classic Tournament last year. Advice for the younger members of our program is, “the more friends you make on your team, the more fun the game gets.”

After high school Vernon plans to enlist in the Air Force.
