Get outdoors and get reimbursed! Find or make trips on the OTL website, otl.pomona.edu Welcome to On The Loose, the Outdoors Club of the Claremont Colleges!

OTL dispatches student-led trips to destinations across California and the Southwestern states. OTLers like to backpack, climb, car-camp, surf, bike, and lounge on the beach. To these ends, we offer advice to those who are lost, cars to those who need transportation, and a wide-ranging assortment of gear to all students—all for free. We also provide extensive subsidies for our adventures. We welcome students of all ability and comfort levels. We host talks to engage our intellects, classes and training to hone our skills, and get-togethers - "Shindigs" - to see each other’s shining faces. Every week On the Loose is sure to have something to excite you, on campus and off. Whatever your level of experience, we hope to see you soon on trail, in the surf, on the rocks, or in a big comfy couch at one of our Shindigs! Happy trails! OTL Staff

IT’S TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TO DIG 🕺🌟🪼☄️💥🪩 A shindig, as per the Merriam-Webster dictionary is “a social gathering with dancing” and “a usually large or lavish party”. The longtime OTL tradition is just that: Dancing, laughing, singing, laughing, eating, drinking, both large and also lavish. Come celebrate joy and friends and the fall semester. We welcome you with open arms to join us in celebration on the evening of Friday, October 2nd at the Sontag Greek Theatre. EVERYONE WELCOME! tell your friends. your roommates. your crushes. your enemies. your inspirations. And YOURSELF to be THERE or be SQUARE (and trust us, you do not want to be square).
We will have burgers, hot dogs, chips, veggies, fruit, sweet treats, LIVE MUSIC (bands and Dj’s galore!) as well as all the libations, so come hungry, thirsty and ready to dance.
We are sooooo sooo very excited to see you there !!!
