Race recap.

Well we decided to try something new and went up to Fergus Falls. Im glad I made the trip up, I had a blast.

Once again thank you Trevor Walsh for the help. Couldn't have done it without you.

Heat race i started 6th and ran good consistent laps. We were knocking on the door for 4th but 4th and 5th got loose so I backed off and just focused on good consistent laps. We finished 6th out of 7 cars in the heat and didn't wreck the car.

After the heat we made just a couple of minor changes for the feature and were ready to go. We started 18th out of 22.

Now on to the feature I told myself I was just going to send it and see what happens. That is exactly what we did. I was able to pass cars and my confidence was through the roof. I worked my way up to 12th and was involved in a wreck that happened right in front of me. I had nowhere to go so we took a little damage. After the wreck the car didn't handle the same and we fell back to 18th. All and all a great night of racing. We will regroup and get ready for our next race at casino on the 6th. As always thanks for your support I greatly appreciate it.

First things first huge shout out to Trevor Walsh. I can't say enough good things about him. After my heat race when I had the hood off my car he was the first person there to help and offer advice. This is why I love this class. He could have easily just stayed at his pit and worked on his car but he was right there to lend a hand. Thank you again I greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: Big shout out to the Marko family for finding me the parts to get me back on the track for the feature. Once again another top notch group that would literally give you the shirt of their back. Little side story. Last year my sweatshirt got covered in race fuel and Jason hooked me up with his own sweatshirt. Thanks again and I apologize for the late thank you. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Now on to the Race recap we had a few firsts for the season. First time being on the hook of the wrecker and first flat tire during the race. Definitely not firsts I ever wanted or care to have again.

Heat race. We started 3rd and finished 4th. The car and driver are definitely coming around. Nothing really exciting to report in the heat. At the end of the heat when I was getting ready to pull off the track I realized that my shifter was not working and we were stuck in high gear. Once we got off the track I got her shut down by the scales. Then I needed to be put on the hook to be scaled and returned to my pit. At the scales our redraw was 5th I was happy with that.

Back at the pits I just needed to find a bolt to fix my linkage for my transmission, so a quick and easy fix. Then we changed some tires and went to watch some feature races. I like when there isn't much to have to fix during intermission.

Feature time we rolled off 5th and the car was great. We had the car turning in the corners and carrying speed into the straights. We had a lot of good laps and we're able to hang with to big dogs. With about 5 to go we cut a tire and ended out night. The bad luck continues but we are getting faster. We definitely learned a lot tonight and were able to load the car up without any real damage. As always thank you for your support and we will see you all next weekend.

Race recap

Heat race we started on the pole. Blake blew right by me and I ran in 2nd for a while., near the end of the heat I ran out of talent spun and that is how the heat ended.
Going off the track i thought someone's car smells hot.... we'll that car was mine.

Back at the pits we had to fix some damage because the front stretch wall said I haven't given it a high five in a long time. Who am I to argue with the wall so I gave em a high five. After fixing the minor damage we changed some tires. Then I noticed some liquid on the fender, we took the hood off and found it had a hole in the radiator. I was going to load the car up but decided not to.

Feature time I started dead last and was ok with that since I was not going to push the car. I went out just wanting to turn laps. That is exactly what I did just hung out in the back watching the temp. I was able to make a pass so all was well. Started 12th and finished 10th. The car went into the trailer with minor damage, we just need to massage some tin and replace a radiator and we will be ready for next week. As always thank you all for your support. I can't wait for next Sunday.

Sunday race recap. We started 2nd in the heat race but fell back to 5th as the top side didn’t have any grip at all. Once we were able to get down to the bottom the car felt great and we were able to run some good laps. The feature we started 9th and the car was good but the driver was not. Took a while to figure out the track and when we did the car was fast and we were able to battle with the rest of the class. When we got closer to the end of the race I spun out a couple of times and the car felt funny but I just figured the driver just ran out of talent. After the race it might have been more of a mechanical issue and driver running out of talent. On my 2nd spin out with 3 to go during the restart I turned left but the car went right and put me in the wall. That ended out night. Once we returned to the pits I found a broken rotor which was causing our issues. I’m guessing I caught a rock and broke it. We had a good night of racing and learned a lot. This weekend I will not be racing since I will be attending my crew chiefs 10u state baseball tournament. As always thank you all for your support.

First off shout out to the crew at Buffalo River Speedway. They did an amazing job checking in on the driver's and crew, they would stop by and hand out water and ice-cream. I felt they put on one heck of a show. This was my first time at this track and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much you guys definitely left a lasting impression on this driver.

Ok now on to tonight's racing recap. We decided to try something new since our local track didn't have our class tonight. In our head we started 5th and finished 5th. I was a little timid the first few laps since I've never raced here. After getting my legs underneath me I pushed the car to see what the track could take. We spun out sent to the rear and battled back to 5th.

Headed back to the pits made adjustments to get ready for the feature and fixed some damage. I started 4th in the feature and the car felt amazing. I'm not 100% sure what happened in turn 3 and 4 but I got into the back of a car i checked up then spun and the car behind me parked on top of mine. That ended our night, and on a side note that is our first dnf of the season.

We have a lot of work ahead of us this week to try to get ready for next week. As always thank you for your support.
