Welcome to Glen Oak Country Club

Located in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, just outside of Scranton, and midway between Philadelphia and New York City, Glen Oak is everything a private golf and country club should be and is recognized as one of the premier clubs in Northeastern Pa. It is best known for its 18 hole championship caliber golf course which was designed by James Harrison, a noted golf course architect who was trained by, and worked under, the highly regarded Donald Ross. Glen Oak sits on 138 pristine acres and boasts a state of the art clubhouse, which along with the entire facility, offers a full range of club services for individuals, couples and families. Come and enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner on one of its two outdoor patios overlooking the course. Golf, wine and live blues music come together Friday, August 14 for Nine, Dine & Wine: Reds, Whites & Blues.

The evening begins with a 4 p.m. shotgun start and an on-course wine tour featuring curated red and white wine selections with pairings to enjoy throughout the round. Sommelier Vicki Guiliano will also be on hand to help guide members through the featured wines.

After golf, join us for dinner and live music from TruBleu and Dirtroad Dandelions.

Golf is $70 per player, but dinner and entertainment are open to all members. Even if you are not playing, you are invited to join us for a great summer evening at the Club for $45 per person.

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s Irving Jackman Memorial Tournament.

Steve Borgia and Tim Hoban earned the Round Robin Division title, while Kyle Williams and Jamie Egan claimed the overall championship for an incredible seventh consecutive year.

Congratulations to all four players and thank you to everyone who competed throughout the weekend.

A look back at some of the people, festivities and moments that made this year’s Irving Jackman Memorial Tournament weekend so memorable.

From Friday night’s seafood dinner and Saturday’s fiery Luau Dinner Dance to some awesome golf throughout the weekend and Sunday’s final shootout, there was plenty to enjoy both on and off the course.

The Irving Jackman Memorial Tournament returns Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2, with a full weekend of golf, dining and tournament festivities.

All members are invited to join us for the Saturday Night Luau, featuring festive live entertainment, music by DJ Mike Walton, a tropical cocktail hour and a dinner buffet with roasted pig, Huli-Huli chicken, garlic shrimp, mahi-mahi with pineapple salsa and more.

The luau is included for tournament participants. Non-participants may attend for $85 plus tax per person. Reservations may be made on ForeTees.

There is plenty to enjoy at Glen Oak this week.

Our brand-new dinner menu launches tonight, featuring new appetizers, salads, entrées and Club classics. Dinner service begins at 4:30 p.m., so make your reservation through ForeTees and be among the first to try it.

Then join us this Friday, July 24 for Field Day and Happy Hour. Members can bring guests to the course with no guest fees, then stay for dinner and enjoy Happy Hour from 6–8 p.m.

Happy Hour includes discounted drinks, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and music by DJ Edwin Velez.

Bring your guests, enjoy a round and make a full day of it at the Club.

Looking to add more speed and distance to your game?

Join us this Friday, July 24 from 5 - 6:15 p.m. for a Speed Training session with Joe Palko, owner of Core Fitness and personal trainer.

The session will combine golf-specific stretching and exercise with swing training to help improve mobility, strength, swing sequencing and clubhead speed.

The cost is $30 per person. Members can register through ForeTees or by calling the Pro Shop.

This week’s dining specials are available Tuesday through Thursday, followed by Friday’s Steak Fry and Clam Bake.

Join us Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m. for unlimited grilled New York strip steak and steamed clams, a full selection of salads, entrées and dessert, plus live music by Neil Nicastro. The dinner is open to all members, including those not participating in the tournament, for $85 per person.

Please note that there will be no à la carte dinner service on Friday. The Steak Fry and Clam Bake will be the only dining option available that evening.

Another Gwil Maddock Memorial weekend is officially in the books. The Maddock is always one of the highlights of the summer calendar, and this year was no different.

Congratulations once again to our 2026 Champions, Frank Petrillo and Brian Mahlstedt Jr., and to our runners-up, Spencer Liddic and Matthew Nealon, on a great weekend of golf.

A sincere thank you to everyone who played, came out to support the tournament, attended the reception and helped make the weekend possible. Thank you as well to our golf, grounds, food & beverage and clubhouse teams for all of their work throughout the event.
