Thank you to our very dedicated group of volunteers who continue to show up and work hard to provide the community with the benefits of our trout nursery. There is so much more that goes into it than just stocking fish. We will be having another work day before we are ready for the fish to arrive. If you enjoy fishing Blackleggs Creek, show your appreciation by showing up and lending a hand too!

Reminder for our Nursery Work Day this Saturday, August 29th beginning at 8:30 am.
Our regular monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:30 pm, Saltsburg Sportsmen’s Club.

We can’t say THANK YOU enough to Saltsburg VFD and Coal Run McIntyre VFD for all of their hard work this evening. Our nursery has been hit hard with flooding this summer leaving inches of mud in the raceway. These two departments showed up and have us prepped for our work day this Saturday. Please consider joining us to finish getting ready for our fish delivery. We truly appreciate our volunteers!

We’ve had some questions about how the Wild Game Cook-Off works. Here’s some details.
1. Anyone can enter a dish, just show up with it that day. If you prefer to just share and not be in the friendly competition, that’s okay too.
2. Everyone is invited to try what they’d like. If you want to vote for your favorite, a small donation will cast your vote.
3. $1 will get you 3 tickets to cast your vote; donations collected will be split 50/50 between the winner and Blackleggs Watershed Association.
4. It’s just for fun and a great way to try some wild game!
We hope you’ll join us!
