The dog days of August are not for the faint of heart.
It's the hottest month of the year. Back to school chaos is in full effect. Summer momentum is fading. And somehow, these people still hit 15+ classes.
That's the Committed Club. Fifteen or more classes in a single month. Not when it's convenient. Not when the weather is perfect and life is calm. Now. In August. In Georgia.
π August Raffle Winner: Jon Floody β you survived August. You deserve this.
If you're a parent on this list who made it to the gym while also doing back-to-school shopping, first-day drop-offs, and supply list runs β we have nothing but respect for you.
See you in September.

If you think wellness is just about what's on your plate, you're only working with one slice of the wheel.
Your thoughts. What you tell yourself in your own head, on repeat, shapes more of your day than you realize.
Your people. Who you spend time with either pulls you toward the life you want or quietly away from it.
Your habits. Not the big, dramatic choices β the small, repeated ones. What you eat, how you move, what you reach for by default.
Your self-talk. There's a difference between "I can't do this" and "I haven't done this yet." Same situation, completely different trajectory.
Your rest. Sleep isn't a reward for finishing everything. It's the thing that lets your body and mind actually recover.
Your peace. Stillness. Quiet. The ability to sit with yourself without needing a distraction.
Food matters. A lot. It's just not the whole picture.
The people who feel the best aren't the ones who nailed their macros for a month. They're the ones who paid attention to all six slices β a little bit, consistently, over time.
Which one are you neglecting right now?

You used to work out. Life happened. Now you're starting over β except you're not twenty-five anymore, your recovery takes longer, and just looking at the gym makes you tired.
More common than you know. And a completely workable starting point.
What you have that the twenty-five-year-old doesn't: you know what it feels like to be in shape. You know the difference it makes in your day, your energy, your relationships. That's real motivation β the kind that comes from experience, not inspiration.
Our 90 Day Onramp is built for exactly this. Four personal training sessions with a coach who knows how to rebuild without tearing you down in the process. No ego, no rush. Just smart, progressive work.
The comeback is always possible. Link in bio.

1,000 classes.
Dr. Andrew Kim has been with us since the garage days β before the gym, before the equipment, before any of this was official. He's been a fixture of the early AM class ever since, which tells you everything about how he operates.
He's a doctor. His mornings often end with him rushing straight from our floor to the hospital, still catching his breath. And he shows up anyway β because he's decided his own health and fitness isn't optional, even when his schedule says there's no time for it.
Andrew's handstand pushups and pull-ups are some of the best in the gym, full stop. That's the kind of strength that takes years of patient, unglamorous work to build β he's put in that work. And lately he's been getting stronger across the board too, adding raw power to skill that was already sharp.
1,000 classes at 5:30 AM, before a full day of taking care of other people. That's commitment most people talk about and few people actually live.
Andrew, we're proud to have you. Here's to the next 1,000.

"Is white rice healthy?"
Depends on the day you're having. If you've been at a desk since 8am and you're eating it at 9pm, that's more carbohydrate than your body has any use for. Twenty minutes before a heavy session? It's about the fastest, cleanest fuel you can put in.
That's the part nobody says out loud. We've spent decades sorting food into two bins β good and bad, clean and dirty β and then feeling guilty when we end up on the wrong side. But food doesn't work that way. Food is a tool. And the only thing that makes a tool right or wrong is what you're trying to build.
An apple is a fantastic snack. It's also a bad choice as your only pre-workout meal if you're about to train hard for an hour.
Almonds are genuinely great for you β and they're also 600 calories eaten standing at the pantry with the bag open. Neither of those is a moral failure. It's just context.
The same food changes value depending on three things:
Your activity. What you did today β or didn't β changes how much fuel you actually need.
The timing. Fast carbs before and after training are useful. Fast carbs at 10pm, on top of a full day of eating, do a different job entirely.
Your goal. Fueling for performance, losing body fat, and building muscle are three different jobs. The same meal serves one well and another poorly.
So stop asking whether a food is healthy. Ask the better question: does this move me toward what I'm actually after?
Sometimes the answer is yes and it's a bowl of white rice. Sometimes the answer is no and it's a salad drowning in ranch. The food didn't change. The context did.
If you've been white-knuckling a list of "bad foods" and it isn't working, that's not a discipline problem. It's a strategy problem β and it's fixable. Our nutrition coaches build around your actual goals, your actual schedule, and food you'll actually eat.
What food have you been told is "bad" that you're not sure you should be avoiding? π

You've spent more time researching gyms than you have actually working out this month. That's not a personal failure. Fitness content is a rabbit hole that swallows people whole.
Every method claims to be the method. After a while, the information itself becomes the obstacle.
Here's what we offer instead of information: a plan. A coach. A time to show up.
Our 90 Day Onramp removes every decision from your plate. You don't pick the workout, figure out the weights, or wonder if it's working. That's our job. Yours is to walk through the door.
Four personal training sessions to start. Then group classes with coaches who've already done the thinking so you don't have to.
Stop researching. Start building strength. Link in bio.

1,000 classes.
Erin was the first non-refugee member of CrossFit Liminal β back when we were training out of a garage, before we had a bigger space to call our own. They showed up then, and they've kept showing up ever since.
In that time, Erin has coached. Served on our board. Put in the work to grow their fitness in ways that didn't happen by accident β that happened one class, one rep, one hard day at a time. They've watched this place grow from a garage into what it is now, and they've had a hand in building it.
That's not something you do for the plaques. That's something you do because you're committed β to yourself, to this community, to the people around you who are watching and learning what "showing up" actually looks like over years, not weeks.
Erin, we're proud to call you a member.
Thank you for every one of those 1,000 classes, and for everything you've given this gym along the way.

A lot of people come to CrossFit Liminal nervous. Not sure they belong. Not sure they can do it.
That feeling doesn't last long.
Our coaches have a way of making people feel capable before they feel ready β scaling movements, correcting form, and creating a room where nobody feels judged for where they're starting.
Two months in, this member went from timid to confident. That's what the right environment does to people.
If you've been on the fence because you're not sure CrossFit is for you β it might just be that you haven't found the right coach yet.

Most people can name their macros. Almost nobody can tell you their fiber or magnesium intake β and both are running low.
Fiber keeps you full, steadies blood sugar, and does more for your gut than any supplement on the shelf.
Magnesium runs hundreds of processes in your body β sleep, recovery, muscle function β and it's one of the most common deficiencies out there, especially if you train hard. Protein you already know matters. Most of us still aren't eating enough of it.
Swipe through for the short list:
π± Fiber: black beans, chia seeds, raspberries, oats, avocado, pear
π₯¦ Magnesium: pumpkin seeds, almonds, spinach, dark chocolate, banana, broccoli
π Protein: chicken, salmon, lean beef, eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt
You don't need to hit every box every day. Pick one from each list and build your plate around it. Swap your afternoon snack for a handful of pumpkin seeds. Add raspberries to your oats. Close your day with Greek yogurt instead of something out of a wrapper.
Small swaps, repeated, are what actually change how you feel.

What's missing from your plate this week?
08/17/2026
You run. You hike. You bike. And something's still missing.
Cardio-only fitness has a ceiling. Without strength work, muscle mass decreases as you age, your joints absorb more impact, and eventually "staying active" stops working the way it used to.
Strength training β real, coached, progressive strength training β fills that gap. It makes your running more efficient. It protects your hips and knees. It extends the years you can actually do the things you love.
Liminal isn't a replacement for the activities that matter to you. It's what makes you better at them β and keeps you doing them longer.
Our 90 Day Onramp is a clean entry point even for people who are already active. We'll assess where you are and build from there.
