COMP CLASS isn’t just for competitors.

One of the biggest misconceptions in Jiu Jitsu is that competition class is only for people who plan on stepping on the competition mats. The truth is, competition class is for ANYONE who wants to improve their conditioning, sharpen their technique, increase their pace, and challenge themselves in a positive training environment.

At SLOW ROLL JIU JITSU, our competition class is designed to expose grapplers to higher intensity rounds, problem-solving under pressure, and the mental toughness that helps you grow both on and off the mats. Whether your goal is to win gold medals, lose weight, build confidence, defend yourself, or simply become a better version of yourself, this class has something to offer.

As we transition into NO GI season, we want everyone to know that these classes remain OPEN TO ALL LEVELS.

Our coaches will identify athletes who are actively preparing for competition while also tailoring the pace and intensity for those who are training for personal growth and development. Nobody gets left behind.

The more bodies we have on the mats, the stronger our room becomes. Every round, every training partner, and every challenge helps build the culture we’re creating at SLOW ROLL.

SLOW ROLL had 6 SLOW ROLLAZ step onto the competition mats today, and every single one of them left it all out there. The team brought home:

Our three kids brought the heat 🔥

Amelia competed for the first time—she gave it everything she had. Came up short, but walked away with some valuable lessons and showed real strength keeping her spirits up after a loss.

Mason brought home 2 golds and 1 bronze, stepping up into a weight class 20 lbs heavier and performing like a champ!

Jacob had an incredible day—4 gold medals and some beautiful jiu jitsu on display. He really showed out!

STARTING OFF THE COMP SEASON FOR SLOW ROLL STRONG.

Today we had 2 of our purple belts head out to Atlanta and compete at We got Webb come in 🥇 and Felix come in 🥈 in GI. Amazing performance from these 2 amazing athletes. Now we go back to the drawing board to get better and get ready for the next comp. Upward and onward
