One of the reasons that consistency is, in our opinion, the single biggest factor to health and fitness success, whatever success looks like for you, is that it gives you more opportunities to do things that move you in the direction you want to go.
When you show up and are willing to endure moments or days that you just don't feel like doing what you need to do to move forward, then you get the chance to have moments or days that you feel motivated, inspired, and like you're winning.
Without consistently showing up, you lose that opportunity.
We had a member tell us recently about his experience working out with one of our coaches. He came in and was just dragging for the first 20 minutes. Then, after he got to the more strength oriented, heavier lifting portion of the workout, he finally got a boost and some energy, began feeling great, and finished the workout strong.
This is a perfect example of this idea of the opportunity we get by staying consistent, even when we donโt feel it.
Honestly, we hear this all the time from members.
The change in 45 minutes from โI donโt know what I have today, but Iโll tryโ to โWow, I feel great after this workout.โ
Sometimes we have people come in not feeling it and leave having set new personal bests on a lift or a speed on a conditioning finisher.
Our feelings just donโt tell the whole story.
Do you rely solely on motivation to inspire your actions?
Or do you show up whether you โwantโ to or not and give it a chance?
