Peyton is a softball player who has figured out something a lot of athletes struggle with. She balances her training here with her practice schedule and does not let either one slip.

That is not easy. Juggling skill work and strength work without burning out or cutting corners takes real discipline. Peyton handles it like a champ, and the best part is she is seeing the improvements from it. The work is showing up.

That is exactly how it is supposed to go. Put in the time, stay consistent across the board, and the results follow.

Keep it up, Peyton. Excited to see where this season takes you!

COMMIT. OVERCOME. CONQUER.

Three words that represent a lot more than training. They represent the process every young athlete has to learn if they want to become the athlete and person they’re capable of becoming.

COMMIT. It’s easy to say you want to get faster, stronger, make the team, earn more playing time, or reach the next level. Commitment is what happens after you say it. It’s showing up consistently, accepting coaching, doing the boring work, and sticking with the process even when the results aren’t immediate. Young athletes don’t need to be perfect, but they do need to learn how to keep promises to themselves.

OVERCOME. Once you commit to something difficult, adversity is inevitable. You’re going to lose, fail, struggle, and have moments where your confidence gets tested. That’s not a sign that something is going wrong. That’s part of becoming better. Sports give young athletes an opportunity to learn how to respond when things don’t go their way. Instead of making excuses or shutting down, learn, adjust, and keep moving forward.

CONQUER. Conquering doesn’t mean never losing. It means becoming capable of handling things that once felt difficult. The weight gets lighter. The game gets slower. The pressure becomes easier to handle. Challenges that once overwhelmed you become challenges you know how to attack. Then you raise the standard and start again.

That’s why COMMIT. OVERCOME. CONQUER. are more than three words on a wall. They’re a standard for how we want our athletes to approach training, competition, and life.

Commit to the process. Overcome what challenges you. Conquer what comes next.

New week. Same grind.

Who’s ready to work?

08/26/2026

Every week we put a question on the board.

Not a training tip. Not a quote. A question.

Because here is what happens to most athletes: they get told what to do for ten years straight. Run this. Lift that. Eat this. Sleep more. Then they get to college, the coach is not standing over them, and they have no idea how to make a decision about their own body.

We can hand an athlete a program. We cannot hand them judgment. That gets built one question at a time.

So we ask. Some of them are about training. A lot of them are not. What does recovery actually mean to you. What is one thing you do that nobody sees. Who are you when the season ends.

An athlete who can think for themselves outgrows the one who just follows directions. Every time.

Make sure to check out the question of the week next time you are in!

New week, let’s go to work!

This week goes out to Landon!

Landon is a stud and has demonstrated an elite work ethic in the gym. He not only pushes himself to be better but he also encourages his peers as well. A true sign of leadership.

And his dedication is second to none. During most of the summer he was doing two a days at the gym, working out both morning and evening.

We’re very proud of you Landon. Keep being a role model for others to follow!
