Tennessee Gun Country Training and Matches

Come get some training.

Have you always wanted to learn how to shoot your handgun better? Would you like to be able to learn and not have to shoot up what little bit of ammo you have left? We are teaming up with Black Armor to offer you the ability to learn how to shoot better in an indoor environment and not have to use up your ammo supply. For about the cost of 2 boxes of ammo you will get 2 hours of training using an indoor computer simulated system that uses real guns to train with.
These guns operate on CO2, so that when you squeeze the trigger, the gun fires and performs as if you are using real ammo, just without the noise that the FULL recoil.
I tried this system out and in about 15 minutes I was shooting better, faster and with a lot more accuracy that when I started. This system gives you feedback on all of your shots from the amount of time that it took to squeeze the trigger to shot placement. There are hundreds of scenarios that you can choose from to make the training more realistic. Want to see how you would do in an armed robbery? They have it. School shooting? They have that too. Want to see if you can try a shoot / don't shoot situation? They have it.
We are holding classes every Monday and Thursday evening from 6pm – 8pm. The classes are limited to only 4 students so that gives each one of you a lot of one on one training time with the instructor.
Think about it....if you go to the range and spend 2 hours there how much ammo will you shoot? 100 rounds? 200? That adds up to well over the cost of this training, and you aren't really learning a lot by just shooting at paper by yourself.

Good afternoon everyone !!!! It appears there is light at the end of the tunnel as ammo has begun to make its presence and prices have dropped a little. With this we have decided to potentially start action shooting matches back up in August. They would take place on the first Sunday of the month.

We unfortunately will not be having an indoor match for the month of November. Pre-registration hasn’t been what we need it to be to plan and host the match. We will work on getting matches rolling again in the future. Here is to hoping the ammo supply chain gets fired back up and we can all get some quality time sending rounds down range !!

November 22nd will be the indoor match. The first Sunday of the month Kevin and I will both be gone for other events and plans. Practiscore will be updated shortly and an event will be created on FB as well.

As of right now we will tentatively be having a match the 1st weekend of October. If you need ammo the shop currently has 9mm ammo. Please preregistration with the Practiscore link. If we don’t have enough pre registered shooters we will have to cancel the match and re-evaluate on when we have our next one. Stages will be posted in the next few days when Nick gets them designed and or decided on.

TNGC OCT MATCH MONTHLY ACTION PISTOL AND PISTOL CALIBER CARBINE MATCH

It was brought to my (Nick) attention tonight that my post canceling September’s match was not on the page. I’m not sure the cause wether it was due to poor service on my end or what. We are hoping ammo availability picks up and we are able to resume regular matches in October. I have been working on possible other style matches to hold indoors however I haven’t been able to get everything done with my fulltime work schedule. I do have some targets being made for an indoor 22lr match we will try out in the future. Hopefully everyone enjoys their Labor Day weekend and keep an eye out for an upcoming questionnaire regarding the future matches.

Due to ammo shortages the match in August is being postponed. We are in the process of coming up with more ammo friendly matches such as an indoor precision 22lr match as well as an EDC match. We will look at continuing the regular Action Shooting matches in September. Who would like to shoot some EDC matches that stages would be scenarios one might encounter while out and about in everyday life? Also who would like to see some combined action and precision 22lr rifle matches?
