We want to take a moment to give a very special thank you to our member Simone and the incredible team at Sassool for their generous donation in support of our LTC Gavin Hero WOD.

It takes a village… and Simone, you showed up for ours in the biggest way. Your generosity means more than you know, not just to CrossFit Clayton, but to Ryan’s family and his children’s future. 🙏

This community continues to blow us away. The love, the support, and the willingness to give, it’s a reminder of why we do what we do every single day inside these walls and beyond.

The days you don’t want to show up are the days that matter most. 🔥

Motivation will come and go. It’ll hype you up on a Monday and ghost you by Wednesday. But discipline? Discipline shows up when you’re exhausted, when it’s hard, when every part of you is screaming to quit.

Do it anyway.

Not because it’s easy. Not because you feel like it. But because the version of you that you’re fighting to become is built on the days you showed up when you had nothing left.

Tired? Show up.
Scared? Show up.
Doubting yourself? Show up.

The gap between who you are and who you want to be is closed one hard day at a time. Motivation gets you started discipline gets you there. 💪

Join us in memory of LTC Gavin, a member at CFC for almost 14 years, who we lost on March 3, 2026. We will be raising funds for his children’s college 529 plan that was set up by his gym 5am family. Details about the workout are below. Workout will start at 9am, first heat at 9:15 am and heats will be run every 45 mins.

Everyone is welcome! Please sign up on the whiteboard at CFC or email [email protected] with your desired heat time and partner name. If you need a partner, please include that in the email.

Donations can be made by check (please make out to Edward Jones- memo line: Gavin Kids 529) at the box between now and then. Please email [email protected] to make a donation via cash, venmo or zelle. His 5am family has agreed to match the funds raised at the Memorial WOD up to $12,650!!!!!

Friday was for Nate. 🇺🇸💪

We sent Nate off the only way we know how, with a double WOD, a whole lot of sweat, and an even bigger show of love. As he heads into a year-long deployment, our hearts are full of pride and gratitude.

This community means everything to us. Our members are family, and while we’ll miss seeing Nate in the gym, we couldn’t be more proud of him for serving something bigger than himself.

We’ll be cheering him on every step of the way and can’t wait to welcome him back home stronger than ever. Stay safe, Nate. You’ve got all of CrossFit Clayton behind you. ❤️

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the gym…
Not a dumbbell was still, not even for a whim. 🎄🏋️‍♀️

The boxes were stacked and the playlist was loud,
Our CFC crew showed up strong, sweaty, and proud.

With 12 Days of Christmas, the reps piled high,
Runs, handstand push-ups, and burpee box jumps that made us question why 😅

Huge shoutout to everyone who showed up on Christmas Eve to move, sweat, and celebrate together. This community proves time and time again that showing up is the real win, even during the holidays.

Thank you Coach for putting together a fantastic workout before the holiday festivities.

Recovery is just as important as the workout. 💪
Coach Matt breaks down the basics:

🥩 Fuel well
Prioritize protein, veggies, quality carbs, and whole foods. Most people don’t need as many refined carbs as they think.

🚫 Cut the sugar + processed foods
What you eat shows up in how fast you recover.

😴 Sleep matters
Good rest = better performance. Go to bed earlier and protect your sleep.

🛌 Take rest days
Rest doesn’t mean stop moving. Walk, stretch, or do light activity to help your body bounce back.

Do these consistently and you’ll recover quicker, feel better, and stay ready for your next workout.

Turkey Burner 2025 🦃🔥

Nothing like kicking off Thanksgiving with sweat, smiles, and the strongest crew in Clayton.

This morning, our CFC family showed up BIG…. packed wall-to-wall with athletes ready to move, laugh, and earn their holiday feast together. These are the moments that remind us why this community is so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out, brought the energy, and made this tradition one of our favorites every single year.
Grateful for this gym, this family, and another year of showing up for ourselves and each other.

There’s nothing like watching someone hit a huge milestone… and hearing the entire gym erupt for them.

This week, Brandon—member, coach, and all-around hard worker—got his first bar muscle-up, and the moment he locked it out, the energy in the room exploded. THAT is CrossFit Clayton.

We celebrate the reps you grind for, the goals you chase, and the breakthroughs you earn.
But even more… we celebrate them together.

Proud of you, Brandon. Proud of this community.

This Tuesday, our community came together for “CHAD” — 1,000 box step-ups in honor of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson. 🇺🇸

Chad was a 21-year SEAL veteran who tragically lost his life in 2018 due to the invisible wounds of war. The workout was created by his wife, Sara, to honor his memory and raise awareness for veteran mental health and su***de prevention.

“CHAD” isn’t just a physical challenge.
It’s a reminder.
A moment to reflect.
And a way to carry the weight—just a fraction of it—that so many of our veterans shoulder every day.

Our athletes stepped up, rep after rep, to honor Chad, his sacrifice, and every service member fighting battles seen and unseen.

We are grateful for those who showed up, pushed through, and moved with purpose.
Never forget. Always honor.
