Here are 20 things to remember on your journey to a healthier, stronger, leaner you!
1) The scale is just a number- it measures total body mass- fat weight, bones, tissue, organs etc.. No way that number represents who you are!
2) If you don't take care of your body who will? You friends, your kids, your spouse? No, You!
3) Do Something active everyday.
4) Quit complaining after 2-3 weeks of starting a workout that you aren't seeing results. Especially when you have been destroying your body for years!!
5) Eat Healthy!- if you have to ask you probably shouldn't eat it.
6) Drink lots of water. This is always a big controversy but staying hydrated especially when your body is made up of 70% water isn't.
7) running stairs at work off and on is good for keeping the body moving but it doesn't qualify as cardio. Get your training done in the gym, then go for a run, power walk, swim, bike ride, jump rope.
😎 Stop using your cell phone in between sets! Nothing is that important that you can't put your phone down for 45-50 min and focus. If it is that important then handle situation first and go to the gym later.
9) No you're not too old to workout. Training and exercise can be done at any age. The "too old to exercise" came from lazy people who don't understand the importance of taking care of your body!
10) Yes, you do have to strength train as well as cardio. No, you don't get to pick one or the other! Depending on your age, one can tend to be more heart healthy, but they are both equally important if your looking for quality of life!
11) Quit telling your friends you are going to start a workout and never do! No one likes a procrastinator, and no one likes to be told stories unless they are animated and with pictures.
12) Hire a good trainer, ask your friends for referrals if they use one. Look for one that has established clientele and people you can talk to. If you are not sure how to build your workout program this is a good way to start until you feel comfortable.
13) If eating heathy is confusing, hire a good nutritionist, some one who helps you understand what your current lifestyle is and how important it is for you to change in order to get healthy.
14) The weekends were not meant for you to relax from working out and eating clean. It's not a green light to destroy your body again.
You didn't earn the right to be healthy 5 days and s**tty 2 days. You want to reward yourself from the weeks hard workouts, and clean eating, but a new outfit, go to the movies, take a drive with your spouse somewhere different.
By no means does Friday-Sunday mean you get to kill all of your hard work
because you are entertaining friends or clients.
15) Get rid of all of your excuses! The reasons you think are valid why you can't work out, aren't!!

18) Make a promise to yourself that every year from here on out you will be in the best shape of your life, for the rest of your life!
19) Take your health seriously, you never know at what point in your life adversity and destruction will knock on your door. Make sure you are ready by doing all of the things on your list!
20) Remember what is important to you, good health, good friends, quality of life, close family, great job, financial freedom, helping others less fortunate, stop complaining, stop looking at negative in life, stop playing a victim, start taking charge of You!
