This picture tells a simple story.
A few students are kicking the standing bag, while a few others cheer them on. But if we look a little closer, we can see not only who they are today, but who they will become.
The students cheering were once the kickers themselves—new, eager, and motivated. Through years of training, they have grown into leaders. Now they carry the responsibility of returning what was once given to them: guidance, support, and encouragement.
It’s a simple story, but it’s one I’m proud to watch unfold in our dojang each and every day.
Strong leaders aren’t built overnight. They are built slowly through consistency, service, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
Leaders built slowly are leaders built strong.

Summer camp is about more than just activities—it’s about building connections.
Whether it’s meeting someone new for the first time or strengthening friendships that started on the mats, these moments matter. Watching our campers cheer each other on, share laughs, and create memories together is one of the best parts of the week.
From the bowling lanes to every adventure in between, summer camp gives students the chance to grow their confidence, expand their circle of friends, and become part of something bigger than themselves.
The friendships built here often last long after camp is over. 🎳☀️

This is Tavalis. He was among the first to enroll in classes when we first opened, spending many hours training and enjoying our summer camp. This fall he joined us as a volunteer supporting our afterschool students and this summer he gets to give back as part of our summer camp staff. He’s taken full advantage of the opportunity to create a summer of great memory for today’s campers. After over 10 years, it is incredibly rewarding to see students from the past become today’s leaders. This Fall he heads off to Mount Olive University on a soccer scholarship. He might have got just a few of his kicks from us 😉

I like this moment.
Not because of the kick that’s about to happen, but because of everything that came before it.
Most people see belt testing as a chance to show what they’ve learned. I see it as a reflection of all the days nobody sees. The days you came to class tired. The days you didn’t feel like training. The days when progress felt slow.
What stands out here is the focus. No looking around. No distractions. Just a student taking a second to gather themselves and trust the work they’ve put in.
Those quiet moments say a lot about how far someone has come.

What a weekend! Taekwondo is hard. Competition is even harder. Every bit of progress is earned through dedication to self-improvement. Rule changes, tough seeding, long days, schedule changes, and tournament delays—our students faced it all.
I couldn’t be more proud of the way our students stood tall, relied on their community, and overcame every challenge thrown their way.
The 2026 USAT American Open East was a weekend full of success, growth, and a strong sense of community.
🏅 Results:
🥇 Harper – Poomsae Gold
🥇 Dylan – Sparring Gold
🥈 Greyson – Sparring Silver
🥉 Dave – Sparring Bronze
🥉 Courtney – Poomsae Bronze
The medals are great, but the real victory is the growth, resilience, and character these athletes displayed throughout the weekend. On to the next challenge!

Potential customers always ask what makes Partners Special? When you look at this picture you can see it. We only had 2 competitors today. Our entire community, current and former families alike showed up. Stayed all day through delays, changes, and cheered through the end of the gold medal match. It’s not the medals, it’s not the wins, it’s the people that make partners special. The community we have built. The experience we share together.

A white belt is more than a new beginning. It’s the first decision to step outside your comfort zone, face challenges head on, and commit to becoming stronger than you were yesterday. Every black belt started right here — with the courage to try something hard. We’re proud of the journey ahead. 🥋
