I believe, the best way to celebrate my Mother is to love myself. There is nothing I can give to her if I don't appreciate myself, see my own values, and exercise my potential in this precious life that she has given to me. She wants me to do good. She never cared about me being the best , she just wants me to be a kind person, offering kindness whenever I can. Whenever I can listen, doing my best being present, give kindness. She says, when I can give time and listen to other's suffering and concern, we are the Quanyin on Earth, so the person's heart can love and give again after speak to us without gong to temple, and pray, or to pay.

My Mother is always present in my life, in spirit, and I love the deep connection we have. As far as I can remember, exchanging gifts is not necessary, just a phone call and a kind reminder make me feel safe and certain wherever and whenever I am.

Happy Mother's Day to all the strong, intelligent, and beautiful Mamas in the world. 🌸

People often ask me what I love most about practicing and teaching. After nearly 12 years, my answer is still the same: it is the moment of feeling connection and freedom. A sense of ease moving through our body as everything else dissolves and falls away. The freedom of freeing the mind from everything and everyone that seems to have a grip on some part of us, keeping your breathing and living on hold or in pending. I love bringing people back to themselves, and to feel free. That is really what I care about and why I teach. My goal is to bring people to experience that freedom within themselves. Yoga, meditation, coaching, and retreats are many different pathways that take you back to meet your pure, unconditioned Self, Whatever on the mat, in a deep conversation that helps you reflect, or return to the loving arms of the nature.

In the world now that we are branding and selling yoga, mindfulness and wellness, in fact, everything that we are talking about here cannot be branded or sell, because it is not a physical product. Connection, peace and freedom are like the air. When we have everything in the world but no connection, peace and freedom, that is not a happy life, no matter how many figure everyone is chasing now, so Yoga in DeMun and I are like a space, bridge, a reminder, return to life, to nature, and yourself.

Nearly 19 years later, I can still vividly remember how much my legs shook after my very first class in St. Louis, but how free my mind felt walking out. I also remember the first crisp cold air that I breathed into my lungs felt like spring. It was in that same moment that I finally felt safe, that if I could find a way to stay strong and healthy throughout the winter here, then I would stay in the United States. So you can say that yoga did change my life.

From the perspective of teaching, I love witnessing the moment when everyone simply enjoy themselves and don't care if they can balance perfectly or not. The softness in their face. The opening of their heart. and the smile, It is hard to put into words, it is a genuine connection, and that connection continues long after the session ends. We talk, laugh, some life updates, the kids, the travels, the work, the dogs.., and yes, the coffee. We are so lucky being in between Forest Park and DeMun park, and many coffeeshop and restaurant, It is really just that simple.

Simply good

A Quiet Shift in Being Await in Peru 7/11- 7/22 (3 spots left)

Last June, I had the opportunity to go to Peru for the first time, leading our small, sweet group. I’ve traveled to over 20 countries on my own, and I’ve always loved exploring the world. But this experience felt completely different from the very beginning.

On the first night, our paqo, Andean spiritual guide, led us into a despacho ceremony. We were invited into their way of being. Suddenly, I felt I had moved from the modern Western sense of time into something more foundational or all-knowing (I don't know but I also know from my being). We were being guided to connect with something much larger than ourselves—the Milky Way, the universe—in a circle, under the full moon, by the fire. We set our intention and gave our offering to Pachamama — Mother Earth — asking for her permission and protection before our journey. It is in that moment I knew we had arrived in the right place, guided by people with deep respect, presence, and heart.

This Jully, I’ll be guiding a small group back to the Sacred Valley in Peru. This is not just a trip. It’s for you if you’re feeling a desire to pause and step out of your usual rhythm, a longing to reconnect with yourself in a deeper way, or a quiet knowing that there is more to feel, beyond what the mind can explain

We currently have 3 spots remaining, and we’ll be closing registration soon as we prepare permits for the journey.

If this speaks to something within you, you’re welcome to reach out or learn more in the link below, both from my personal self- reflection after Peru, and your coming journey in details. It is my greatest joy and honor to accompany you on this Sacred Heart pilgrimage of life!

Sunday personal reflection on time, energy and attention.

Photos from Yoga In DeMun's post 03/20/2026

Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoy this beautiful day! This weekend marks the gentle arrival of spring — a natural turning point from stillness into movement, from inward reflection into outward expansion. After the quiet, introspective energy of winter, where we are guided by the lungs — learning to release, to let go, to create space — we now begin to shift into the energy of spring, associated with the liver and the element of wood. In traditional wisdom, the liver carries the energy of vision, direction, and growth. Just like trees in early spring, life begins to rise again — not in a rush, but with a quiet, steady unfolding.

Over the years, I have come to realize that mountains offer something many people quietly long for — Peace and clarity.

Since opening my studio in 2014, I have noticed something very clear. The people who come to my classes and retreats are often those who have devoted their lives and professions to helping others. They study deeply, train continuously, and work tirelessly in service of others. They are very good at what they do — caring, giving, and holding space for so many. Yet, they are often the ones who need time and space for themselves the most.

Again and again, I witness how important it is for those who support others to have a place where they, too, can rest, reconnect, and return to themselves.

My first experience with high mountains was at the South Base Camp near Everest in 2018. On the way back, we took the Qinghai–Tibet Railway — the highest train route in the world — reaching 5,072 meters (16,640 feet) above sea level at Tanggula Pass. The journey from Lhasa to Xining took about 22 hours. I don’t think I slept at all. I kept my eyes open from day to night, watching vast open landscapes where life felt slower, simpler, and far away from the noise of modern life, and just listening and feeling the movement and the sound of train.

Something shifted in me during this trip. The space, the altitude, and the stillness created an inner quiet I had never experienced before. It wasn’t an idea or a clear vision — it felt more like an inner space opening within me. In that moment, I realized how much clarity comes when we step outside of our usual environment.

There is a unique energy in high mountains — from Mount Everest to the Andes Mountains— that gently brings us back into alignment. They ground our nervous system, invite deeper breathing, and open our minds, eyes, and hearts. When there is no constant agenda, the mind softens, and what truly matters becomes easier to see. We return able to serve others without feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Mountains don’t rush us. They remind us to listen.

For those of you whose life’s work is to serve others — social workers, doctors, caregivers, and all who give so much of themselves — this message is for you. Peace and clarity are not something we force; they are something we allow. When we step away from the noise and reconnect with the natural rhythm of life, decisions become simpler, vision becomes clearer, and we return to our work more aligned with who we truly are.

Sometimes the most powerful work begins by standing still long enough to hear what is already within us.

How do you make space in your life for allowing?

My heart felt so full watching Alysa Liu win the gold medal by being her joyful, authentic self on the global stage! Knowing that her father immigrated to the United States as a political refugee didn’t make her feel the need to focus on it; instead, she showed up with her big smile and lighthearted spirit. She focused on human connection, brought awareness to mental health, and honestly reflected on why she retired at the age of 16 — because she wasn’t happy only knowing skating and nothing else in life. She wanted to be free and do her own thing. She didn’t let the title or other people’s voices define her, and she came back because she rediscovered the pure joy of skating again during a mountain ski trip, not as an athlete, but as a normal teenage girl! That feeling that she wanted to do it again — not for the gold, but for the joy. Seeing Alysa Liu’s bright light shine so brightly and joyfully felt perfectly timed, as if it lifted hearts around the world! Thank you for all the love and joy you bring to me this Chinese New Year week!

Let’s stay focused on what brings you joy and happiness! 🙂

Today, February 17th, marks the first day of the Lunar New Year which means January 1st on Lunar Calendar which is based on the Moon 's circle around the Earth. Chinese New Year traditionally usually about two weeks, beginning on the first new moon and complete at the full moon with the lantern festival on March 3rd.

This period offers time and space to cleanse the old, celebrate renewal, reconnect with friends, family and visit our ancestors. Go to temple, give and receive blessings, it's more than rituals, it's about our personal journey and destiny. Give ourselves time before fully ready to step into new cycle with a restored mind, body with intention.

We are officially stepping into the Year of Horse, carrying strong Fire energy this year, which often brings movement, change, and renewed momentum into our life. If you're curious about what this year may bring for you, take a moment to reflect at your life back in 2014, and 2002. The zodiac cycle repeats every 12 years, so themes or lessons from those years may offer clues about what could unfold for you this year.

You may reflect on these four areas of your life in 2014 and 2002:

1, Connection and Relationship
2, Financial situation and career
3, Health and well-being
4, Personal growth and inner development

Ask yourself:

1, What shifts or turning points did I experience during those years?

2, What events or decisions led to those changes?

3, How did my life direction evolve afterward?

By reflecting on 2014 and 2002, you may begin to see patterns or guidance that can help you move consciously into your new cycle.

May this new year bring clarity, courage and desired change for each one of you!

Happy New Year!

Self-love is the unconditional acceptance, respect, and appreciation for oneself.

Bring your attention toward ease — toward what frees you from constantly focusing on the problem — and gently guide it toward what brings appreciation, joy, and peace into your life. When the thinking mind becomes overly active and take away your breathing, It often pulls us back into what is not working, who or what is missing, or how far we feel from where we want to be, and we are not there, and the more we focus on these gaps, the more anxiety, frustration, and disappointment can grow.
In those moments, only you can sense what is happening within you — the tension, the heaviness, the negativity. And the longer we remain there, the further we drift from the lightness and well-being we truly desire.

But you can shift your attention now.

Practice allowing yourself to pause — to take a mental, emotional, and physical break. You do not have to figure everything out in this moment. Instead, gently move your attention, energy, and time toward something that brings ease, joy, or simple peace. For me, sometimes that means taking a ten-minute nap with my cat, listening to his deep breathing, and letting my whole body settle and rest.

If you are in the process of creating something, allow insight and ideas to enter naturally by becoming spacious, rather than forcing motivation or keeping yourself constantly busy just to feel productive and making progress. True change comes when you are relaxed and open, not when you are pushing or forcing yourself forward.

Allow yourself to become spacious. Be the space.

When you give yourself a mental break, you will feel good right away. 🙂

Dear friends,

I hope your new year is unfolding with ease and gentleness, gently rolling us into the first week of 2026!

This is a gentle reminder that our 8-week self-development journey, Bringing Inner Vision to Reality, 1/5-3/2 begins tonight at 7:00 pm (St. Louis time) on Zoom.

This series is an invitation to slow down and come back to what truly matters — to gently unlearn the patterns that keep you stuck or scattered, and to strengthen your relationship with yourself as you bring your inner vision into real life, one week at a time. This is what yoga truly means: union with self.

This journey may be a good fit for you if:

~ You feel called to know yourself more deeply and want to learn how to manage your time, attention, and energy with greater ease.

~ You’re ready to move out of old ways of being and lean toward greater clarity, even if you’re not yet sure how.

~ You’re seeking change that feels sustainable, embodied, and true to you, and you’re ready to begin creating a system that supports your vision.

~ You value a spacious, respectful, and reflective group environment — where inner exploration may include information and emotion, yet clarity is not heavy or rigid. It is simple, light, and grounding.

The reason why it is a 8-week journey because change need time and practice, Imagine we are going for a 8 weeks inner hike together as a small group. At the same time, I understand everyone's work/life schedule is different — so you’re welcome to come as your schedule allows through the class schedule page by week with your class package credit, or drop-in, just make sure you sign up at least 15 mins before the session to receive a link.

My hope is that this offering may support you as you step into 2026 with more steadiness, grounding, and inner clarity!
