Clayton Community Garden Everyone in Clayton New Jersey is welcome to the Community Garden. This is our fourth growing season and we look forward to plenty more.

The Mission of the Clayton Community Garden is to create a shared vision, to work collaboratively, and to cultivate a place for individuals, families and friends to learn about and experience the rewards of gardening. Our garden will foster community service, educate our youth and build a sense of affiliation and commitment among residents, businesses and local veterans alike. With an emphasis on organic gardening and nutritional education for all ages; we know that community gardening improves people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for neighborhood and community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, beautifying neighborhoods, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.

Got an amazing walk in around the garden this morning! What a beautiful day! Enjoying the peacefulness of our garden. Have to set up 2 clean up days over the next couple of weeks. So, please gather your family, you neighbors, your Scout troops and your sports teams, that want to give back to the community. Fall fest is October 3rd. By then we need to finish laying the rest of the pavers, moving the rest of the river rock, clean up the dead plants and split and plant new plants in the flower bed down to the garden sign. Then lay the rest of the mulch to freshen up the flower beds. We’ll be on full display October 3rd. So, please gather your home plants that need to be split and donated and hit up anyone that has plants that need to be transplanted now for next Spring! Thank you for a wonderful season and please, come out to help us get ready for Fall fest. I’ll drop a few dates on here in the next couple of days.
