13' surf rods are here! About one year ago we worked with
RODgeeks on a 13' blank specifically for the outer banks of NC. The engineers just announced the production of the "CAROLINA CANNON"! We are very excited to start building on these monsters. The blanks are a moderate fast action, with a heavy backbone built to hold up to 80lb mono with a max lure weight of 20oz. If you are a Red angler you must have one of these custom built rods. RODgeeks kept the butt diameter under 1" by slowing the taper in the butt section while retaining the 70/30 we loved on the 12' blank.
