I don’t really do this too often but with everything that has gone on over the last 2 years, now is as good a time as any. Over the years I have struggled with anxiety, nutrition, and fitness, to some degree.
My challenge of anxiety produced heart palpitations, where, I felt frozen and thought my heart would beat out of my chest to the point I couldn’t even breathe. The best thing that I did was, reach out to my parents who always have been my biggest support system. Unfortunately, when Covid locked us up for 4 months, I wasn’t allowed to go to the gym, my favorite bar, or see friends. I felt like I was alone and there was nothing I could do or say that would bring back my old life. I was reminded of my great support system because I was able to be open and honest; which was not easy. I was able to overcome this anxiety because I was vulnerable as well as open & honest.
My nutrition has always been a rollercoaster. My diet consisted of chicken fingers, soda, chips, etc; with some healthy foods like; red meat, milk, fruits & veggies. In order to stay fit on this poor diet, was being playing sports year round. Once I was in college my diet changed but not for the better. When I graduated; I stopped playing sports & realized it’s impossible to out- train a bad diet. This prompted me to cut out as much junk as I could while studying & learning about the what is healthy & unhealthy. Around that time is where my love of fitness began because I joined Title Boxing Club and after a few years learned to become a trainer. I loved being a trainer because my classes were fun & I enjoyed building the relationships with members. The feeling I got from helping people is something that I strive for with every client that I’ve had. I love what I do and I realized that through the lessons I learned and the hardships I went through; I can help people overcome their own challenges both physically and mentally.
S/o to for the great photo
