m came to yoga searching for a tool to manage the stress that comes with being a high school teacher, but she found so much more. Through her yoga practice she found a spiritual path that had led her to listen to her inner teacher and truly appreciate a holistic approach to wellness. As a recent graduate from Ally Ford Yoga’s 200-Hour Teacher Training in September 2014, she is eager and humbled to help others start their journey. Ashley was blessed to start a dedicated yoga practice at White Orchid Yoga in 2013 and quickly became a student of Ashtanga Yoga. She has practiced under many dedicated Ashtangis who have encouraged and supported her on her journey: Calley Masson, Jessica Needham, Tanya Green, and many other inspiring teachers at White Orchid. Taking advantage of local workshops, she continually explores the lifetime lessons yoga offers. From handstands to mantras to meditation, she has studied with esteemed teachers, including Jessica Lynne and David Kyle. With her 200YRT Yoga Alliance certification, she is excited to start sharing these lessons. As a nature and animal lover, Ashley’s true hope is to foster an attitude of gratitude and compassion in herself and her students through yoga. By nurturing and healing ourselves, we ultimately do the same for others and our planet, earnestly making the world a better place. We are all connected. Like a walk on the beach or a deep breath in the woods, yoga is a way to remember that.
