ial: QB Camp prime time show which has become a popular element of ESPN’s annual pre-Draft coverage. The in-depth, one-on-one interviews and film sessions have featured Gruden mentoring top quarterback prospects such as Sam Bradford, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, C**t McCoy, Cam Newton, and Tim Tebow. The success of these shows has led to similar specials, including a Gruden’s Champ Camp special with New Orleans Saints Super Bowl winners Drew Brees and Sean Payton in 2010. In addition to his NFL role, Gruden has called a handful of marquee college football telecasts since arriving at ESPN, including the Rose Bowl (2010) and BCS National Championship games (2010 and 2011) for ESPN Radio, and the 2011 and 2012 Outback and Orange bowl games, where he has worked alongside MNF partner Tirico and others. Gruden does his regular film study for MNF and conducts the QB Camp interviews at his Tampa, Fla., office which he has affectionately dubbed the FFCA, Fired Football Coaches Association. Always looking to expand his knowledge of the game and learn from others, he regularly welcomes high school, college and professional coaches to discuss football strategy, philosophy and to review game film. The FFCA was founded in 2008 by Super Bowl-winning head coach Jon Gruden. The FFCA is a football think-tank, which welcomes current and former coaches and players to study various phases of the game. The FFCA has become a highly regarded forum for many of the game’s greatest innovators and talent, who strive to improve their knowledge base in order to reach championship levels of performance. The FFCA is dedicated to giving back to the game of football, with a specific emphasis on high school athletic programs. Football plays an important role in youth development, and provides many opportunities for future success. The FFCA strives to assist and honor student-athletes, parents, coaches and administrators, who put in the time and effort to enhance their lives through football. The FFCA seeks to accomplish this mission through advocacy, education, fundraising and philanthropy.
