This Tournament was sponsored by Lucas Oil Products, Inc for the 15th consecutive year. Their sponsorship of $1050 added prize money is greatly appreciated. Please support our sponsor by using the outstanding Lucas Oil Products. 44 outstanding Players competed in the tournament. Format is round robin play using cancellation scoring. Winners determined by Won/Lost record and Head-to-Head tie breaker per NHPA rules.
Tie breaker Scratch Class = 1st-HtoH, 2nd-R%, 3rd-Pts.
Tie breaker Handicap Class = 1st-HtoH, 2nd-OvrAvg, 3rd-Pts.
Classes with a ringer percentage difference of 10% or more were handicapped using 80%.
It was a beautiful day in Clearwater, Florida for the tournament.

The Florida Horseshoe Pitching Season has officially arrived, and the Clearwater Horseshoe Club is ramping up for a fun and busy season. The competition begins October 7 with daily individual play, Club Leagues on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays, and First Saturday Monthly Tournaments. In addition, the Club is honored to host the 2023 Florida Senior Games Horseshoe Event on Dec 8, 2023, and the 63rd Annual Florida State Horseshoe Championship Tournament in April 2024.

The Clearwater Horseshoe Club’s facilities are second to none in Florida and consist of 18 Covered and Lighted Clay pits located in the beautifully shaded Ed Wright Park on the edge of Lake Belleview. Horseshoe Pitching is a fun and challenging sport that requires balance, agility, and stamina. All genders, ages, and skill levels are welcome as all competition is handicapped by ability. Membership is open to full-time and part-time residents as well as visitors.

The Clearwater Horseshoe Club will be hosting the 7th Annual Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Tournament on Saturday March 25th, 2023. This is a really fun tournament for a good cause and an opportunity for everyone that pays the $30 entry fee to be eligible to win the top door prize (Electric Bicycle), or one of the other many valuable door prizes. Your name will be put on a ticket. You do not have to be present to win a door prize. Half of the players will also win money from the $1000 cash prize fund. The two flyers below have all of the detail information on how to enter and the format of the tournament. My contact information is on the flyer if you have any questions about the tournament. If you haven't already signed up, we have openings for the Lois Hayden Open Tournament in Clearwater on Saturday November 5th, 2022. There is an additional $500 added to the prize fund by the Hayden family.
