It is with sadness to report the passing of an IAACT instructor, Denise Pappas (Quincy, Il.), has passed away. Denise was an energetic, adventurous, and caring counselor who was a constant encouragement to all she met. Rest in peace Denise.

Remembering today the life and legacy of D Barnes Boffey, Ed D. on the date of his 'transition' into eternity. He was an author, mentor, inspiration, and the heart and soul of the Aloha Foundation. Long live his positive impact on the lives of many young and old. Missed but never forgotten.

A Conversation With Barnes Boffey A conversation with a very special person.

A memorial service for Barnes Boffey will be held at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth, 40 College Street, Hanover, NH, on Saturday, September 7 at 3 pm. Streaming of the service is in the works.

A Celebration of Life at the Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee, Vt. over Memorial Day Weekend, 2025.

David Barnes Boffey, Ed D
July 16, 1945 - August 19, 2024

Barnes Boffey - teacher, author, counselor, role model, and friend to all transitioned into the "Light" Monday, August 19 surrounded by his family on his terms in his White River Junction, VT home.

Born with a contagious smile on his face, Barnes was an inspiration to all he met; finding qualities in all with whom he worked, lived, and loved.

In his parting, Barnes legacy was highlighted by his entries on CaringBridge sharing his reflective view of his personal transition from lift , as he described, "Light". His words were both insightful and direct about accepting what life is in one's final days. Barnes chose to control rather than be controlled by circumstances.
