Pennsylvania Wrestling Tour Trip One Completed.
Several of our wrestlers had the opportunity to train for a few days in Pennsylvania at Wyoming Seminary, a top-five ranked prep school in the country, where they trained alongside some of the nation’s top competitors, including Dale Corbin, Wyatt Spencer, and many more. They then trained at Mat Assassins, with intense sessions led by Coach Villafane; this club is another highly reputable program in the country. The trip concluded at Ranger Pride Wrestling Club, where they trained with wrestlers such as Melvin Miller, Bo Bassett, and Keegan Bassett. This training served as preparation for nationals later this month.

We can always count on Tyler Kasak and Braeden Davis to act like big kids. They seemed to have a blast during their free time at the wrestling clinic.

Big thanks to Tyler Kasak, Braeden Davis, and Noah Nininger for putting on a successful wrestling clinic. We appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise with the kids who attended. We look forward to hosting this clinic again for a third year!

Great weekend for our TBD athletics wrestlers! They had the chance to attend Final X, a USA Wrestling event as part of the Beat the Streets initiative. They also got to train with Pennsylvania state champion Eren Sement and former UNC wrestler Chuckie Connor. Plus, they toured some historic sites in Philadelphia. Everyone had a fun day of wrestling, learning, and fellowship.

This clinic sold out last year, so be sure to reserve your spot early. The cost is $85 per wrestler if you register by June 20. After that, the price increases to $100.

We had several kids who placed in the Reindeer Rumble at the Benton Convention Center. Congratulations to all the wrestlers who competed in this tournament! Keep working hard and striving for improvement. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the youth in our community through wrestling.

Several of our wrestlers placed in the annual Combat Christmas Classic. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get photos of all our medalists, as they left right after receiving their awards. It was fantastic to see these young wrestlers compete!

It’s always great to see a dedicated group of kids pushing themselves in practice and striving to improve. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to serve you through this sport.

Over the weekend, two of our middle school wrestlers competed in the Honey Badger Wrestling Tournament at St. Stephens High School. Both earned medals, with one taking first place and the other finishing in second.

Several wrestlers from our club traveled to the RPW Compound in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where they had the opportunity to tour the Penn State wrestling facilities in State College and meet Cael Sanderson. NC United also sent a number of wrestlers to train at RPW, showcasing a strong presence of North Carolina talent. We’re thrilled that everyone had a fantastic time growing and training together with some of the best wrestlers in the country.
