Proud as a coach and friend could be about Seth. He continues to amaze me with all that he has accomplished against such adversity. He is an inspiration to me and I love sharing his story with all of my players. Seth has continued to work with our Diamond Star guys in the winters when he comes home, and they have definitely been Blessed to have him share his story and his pitching instruction with them. Very grateful for the opportunity to have coached such a hard working and inspiring person!

Simmons Named TL Pitcher of the Week San Antonio -The San Antonio Missions are excited to announce that right-hander Seth Simmons was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week for August 15-21.

A lot of excitement going on within the Diamond Stars organization right now!

14u team just competed in their 1st tourney of the Fall winning the Championship!!! The team went 4-0-1 while batting and playing everyone in the lineup and on the field, and dominated the competition. The team shook off a little rust on Saturday from the down time, but by Sunday the bats were clicking again and we scored 29 runs in 3 games. The pitching and defense allowed a very respectable 9 runs in 5 games; less than 2 per... TEAM ERA for the weekend 1.5 runs.

As always, what I am most proud of is the way the team carried itself with great character and followed the "Homer" principles set forth from the beginning. Congrats to the players, coaches and parents for setting the standard with our actions. When I get calls from other coaches and umpires telling me what a great group of people we are- it really makes me proud! Thank you!.

Akadema Diamond Stars 16's capture the 2015 IMPACT 16U Mountain Championship title with a 6-0 win over the Tony Womack managed, Carolina Blacksox.

The TEAM went 5-0 for the weekend and played some really good baseball; Good Defense, Terrific Pitching and Timely Hitting were the reasons for the success. The pitching staff gave up a total of 10 runs in the 5 games, which was phenomenal. A true team effort with contributions from all of the participating team members!

VERY PROUD of our 13u, Akadema Diamond Stars- Titans @ 3-1-0 after pool play. They tied for first in their bracket, and now move on to the Elite 8 in the Perfect Game Super25 13u National Championship! 8 teams are left to battle it out for the National title, at the beautiful Jet Blue Player Development Complex - in Fort Myers, FL... spring training home of the Boston Red Sox.

The team plays in round 1 of the Championship final against Team Select out of Coral Springs, FL today at 10:15am.

The Diamond Stars 13u- Titans Team won their 3rd Championship of the Spring at the Big South Blast. They were down 7-1 in the top of the 6th, and started an amazing comeback, which eventually led to a 9-7 Championship Game win. These boys played 4 games on Sunday, and battled with a "Never Quit and Never Give Up" attitude, that we proudly endorse! These players and coaches battled thru adversity and won in exciting fashion. CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishment and for not giving in when things looked bleak!
