Dear Dance Explosion Families,

As we reflect on another incredible recital season, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank you for being part of such a special weekend and for allowing us the privilege of sharing in your dancers' journeys.

Watching each student take the stage was a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do. From our youngest dancers to our older ones, it was great to see tremendous growth, confidence, determination, and joy. Every dancer has worked hard throughout the year, and seeing their progress shine on stage was truly rewarding. We hope each student knows how proud all the teachers here all of them are and how deeply they are loved by our dance family.

Parents, thank you for ALL your help backstage. It was quite chaotic as it is behind the scenes, but you kept it all together that from the audience perspective, you would never know. Your help doesn't go unnoticed. If there's ever anything WE can do for you, tell us! We're happy to share gratitude.

We are also incredibly thankful for the continued growth of our studio. The support from our families and community has allowed Dance Explosion to flourish, and we couldn't be more grateful. We hope that you help us continue to grow and share Dance Explosion with all of your friends and families.

As our studio continues to grow, we are already looking ahead and exploring ways to make future recitals even better. One idea we are considering is splitting our recital into two shows. This would help shorten the length of each performance, provide a more enjoyable experience for our youngest dancers who may become restless during longer events, and better accommodate families with dancers enrolled in multiple classes.

We are always striving to improve, and your feedback is important to us. If you have any suggestions for how we can make next year's recital or studio experience even better, please don't hesitate to let us know. YOU matter and we want to make your home from beginning to end something special. Our goal is to continue growing, learning, and improving so that each year is even more memorable and enjoyable than the last.

If you captured any photos or videos from recital weekend, we would love to see them! Please email your favorites to [email protected] so we can share special memories on our social media pages throughout the summer.

If your child left a pair of blue headphones, Pink Juicy crocs, or Grey Juicy crocs, I have those because they were left behind.

Most importantly, thank you for trusting us with your children. It is an honor all of us teachers never take for granted. We are grateful for every family that chooses to be part of Dance Explosion, and we cherish the relationships we build with our dancers. You really help us feel like we are in our second home.

Whether we see you this summer, next season, or for many years to come, please know how much we appreciate your support and how thankful we are to have you as part of our dance family. It's been an honor to be apart of your year. All 2025-2026 Dance Classes have been archived, but you can go ahead and register for Summer or 2026-2027 classes! We all hope to see you again with some new fun and exciting classes!

It’s finally here! Join us for ‘The ONE TWO Remember’—our 12th Annual Recital! Please note that doors open at 2:00 PM and the show begins promptly at 2:30 PM at Davie High. See you there!

This weekend, we are thrilled to honor our 2026 senior, Mallory Denton. A true staple of the studio, Mallory has been with us since we first opened our doors 12 years ago, beginning in our homeschool class at just 6 years old.
From her early days as a "tiny dancer" to the inspiring role model she is today, Mallory has consistently brought joy, excitement, and an incredible work ethic to every class. She joined our competition team at age 7, where she has blossomed into the dedicated artist we see today. Among her many highlights, her favorite memories are of working on her first solo with Miss Jill in our original basement studio in 2017 and the high energy of performing "Respect" in 2019.
One thing she will miss is her teachers. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work and kindness. Her advice to future DESPA dancers is: “Work hard, be respectful, and have fun.” Following her final performance this Sunday, Mallory will be attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to pursue a BFA in Dance and perform with the Spartan G’s dance team.
