I believe a big reason why a lot of pro fighters don’t do as well as they’re projected to is because they’re forced to train with coaches they haven’t built any chemistry with. When you get deep in that water you need a coach who knows how well you can swim and that only happens from years of relationship building. I never understood why it’s managers and promoters first move to take a fighter away from his lifeline. But loyalty shouldn’t be blind , it needs to be mutual, a coach can’t expect to be taken for a ride when he’s taken the fighter as far as he can. And a fighter can’t point fingers at a coach he’s not listening to. I could right a book on this topic but bottom line is Crawford made a gutsy decision early in his career and it paid off big. #boxingiq #sweetscience #boxingtraining #boxingskills
