Clemson Family,

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve this community for numerous decades. This place was considered as a “2nd home” to so many people, which is what made the URC special. There are not enough words to express the amount of gratitude that we have for every customer that we had the pleasure to serve. And to our regular patrons who came in here nearly every day of the week, y’all are awesome! Because of patrons like you, the memory of the URC will live on forever in our hearts. Again, we cannot say “Thank You” enough.

An era at Clemson is coming to an end. On May 5th, 2023 the Underground Recreation Center will permanently close its doors after serving Clemson University for almost 50 years. As of now, the University does not have any plans to rebuild or replace the Union.

If you have any bowling equipment stored at the URC we kindly ask that you swing by anytime between now and the first week of May to retrieve your items.

We are open Monday- Thursday between 9:30am-3:30pm for Leisure Skill classes and Monday-Sunday between 4pm-10pm for open recreation hours. Please check in with the front desk to check out your items.

As you start preparing for exams, keep in mind the URC offers FREE activities to everyone during exam week (12/11-12/15).

If you’re looking for a fun and educational way to fill the gaps in your schedule, consider taking a Leisure Skills class! Clemson Leisure Skills offers a class for anything you can think of. Here are just a few that the URC hosts each semester. Spots are limited, so add them quick!

Did you know everything at the URC only cost $1.00! If you haven’t yet, swing by the URC for some bowling, billiards, ping pong and more.

Friday & Saturday 4pm-12am

It’s Welcome Week at the URC! If you’re new to Clemson’s campus or looking for something fun to do, come by the URC from 6-10pm for ✨FREE✨ bowling, billiards and more.

Welcome week hours will be in effect until Saturday then our normal hours of operation will begin.

Another great semester in the books! Thanks to everyone who participated in our end of the semester 200 Club tournament. Be sure to check our calendar for summer hours starting this week.

FREE BOWLING & ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK FOR EXAM WEEK‼️‼️ Open Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm & 5pm-9pm. Wednesday we will be hosting our 200 club tournament starting at 5:30pm for warm ups.
