Sunday Minion practice was fun. Gorgeous weather. Good to be back.

Fighting rattan, rapier, and shooting CA: Ferus, Labros, Cyrus, Astrid, Kali, Septimus, Vito, Vici, Geminus, new recruits Brian and Jeff. Hanging out: Sifu, Tycho. Emerald inquired about target archery. Denvar visited and fought.

This Sunday at noon, April 28, the Minions will have their first practice of the year. We arrive Sundays at noon, and fight and loiter until around 4pm, at Loew Park in Old Brooklyn. We fight at the West 25th end of the park, parking cars on West 25th.

All are invited, the weather should be nice, bring your own beverages and camp chairs. There will likely be more people hanging out than fighting, that's how these things go.

Rome was yet again built in a day. Villa Vino, the Vito's Minions camp at Pennsic, is up and running. Cold brew coffee and Angry Orchard cider on tap. Our couches call to you. Our gate is not up yet, it goes up in the morning.

Vito is not making spaghetti this year, but people are still invited to witness our household shtick and musical entertainment on Wednesday of war week, in the afternoon.

Minion practice was fun, the last practice before Pennsic 50.

Fighting: Kali, Astrid, Vici, Johnny, Ferus, Brian, HRH Wigthegn, HRH Neassa, Tamock, Labros, Sidius, Nyle, Geminus, Sigilius, Magnus, Cyrus, and probably more.

Hanging out: Sifu, Amber, Cicero, Mia, Tarquin, Geminus recruit, Sirius, Lupa, and two dogs.

There were lots of cookies.

Brian, Nyle, and Johnny are ready for mock auths or maybe just straight up auths. Brian is seven feet tall.

Geminus and Tamock had a photogenic duel with two handed mace vs. two handed axe. Nobody took pictures.

Everybody sick of getting beat on by Sidius' left handed crap took it out on Johnny because he's left handed and not Sidius.

North Oaken War Maneuvers was a success. Beautiful weather. 14 Minions armored, 3 rapier.

Kali authed, hard to kill, hard to move.
Christianna authed CA, shot a lot of people. Geminus authed pike and fought in the unbelt practice. Leo and Cicero fought melees with small centerboss shields. Magnus authed CA, shot two Dukes. One was armed.

Tarquin fought well in the unbelt tourney, and commanded on the field all day. Hail to the Sneetch. Gregor named him 'Sergeant Lord Starquin.' Sir Sirius fought with the Minions, against North Oaken, which he used to command. Bear hunters were gunning for him.

Zuriel, Gregor, Astrid, and Nebula all shot CA.
Six Minions shot CA in the melees. Zuriel helped authorize shooters. Our archers saw HRH Wigthegn shooting, said he was pretty good.

Vici fought 3 auths, fields, marshaled some bridges. Emptied his water cooler.

The newly married Vito commanded with General Max, fought some. And looked good, and brought homemade prosciutto.

Labros ran rapier auths and fought in melees. Ferus worked on his rapier MIT. Lupa, Labros, and Ferus were in the 3 person melee tourney, and got a couple wins. Lupa killed 2 people by herself, played bocce, and ate pierogis. Labros dressed like an Amish assassin. Ferus was too cool for our shade fly and set up his own.

Amelinne, Sifu, Luciana, Abbey, Johnny, and Cat took care of us, water, food, shade, armor repairs, and morale. Amelinne, aka 'Mrs. Caesar,' had a picnic basket with meats, cheeses and grapes, it was all organized and very Amelinney. Abbey took photos and videos. Sifu photographed auth papers and padded a helmet.

At court, Sidius arrived in time to join Red Company. Tiberius got an Award of Arms, which Vito accepted in his absence.

Shonna is the new garb coordinator for Prince Wigthegn and Princess Neassa.

Dasani did the best thing of all. She gave Vito and Vici their Pelican medallions. They will be worn with pride, made by one of the Midrealm's best artists.

Spring Crown and Kingdom A&S report:

Saturday, Labros was the marshal in charge of the rapier list, hosting 2 tournaments and a melee. Ferus was the minister of the list and helped keep paper work in line and things running smoothly. Ferus was later ~~strong armed ~~ convinced to start his MIT for rapier. Lupa fought in the warlords melees and got second in the cookie tourney, she then ran away with the cookies and handed them out before Labros could have any. Vici was one long-sleeved shirt away from authing in rapier.

In A&S Zuriel and Dasani had entries in the judging. Zuriel got a special call out during court for having 3 separate entries and scoring very well.

On the heavy side Vici and Sirius schmoozed and Vici fought pick ups.

At Saturday Court Lupa was named a Herald Extraordinary, one of the highest awards not given by a crown. It is in recognition of her knowledge and contributions in the college of heralds, she was basically inducted to the herald hall of fame. According to Konrad, she is only the 3rd person from Midrealm to get this award that wasn’t the Dragon Herald. She will get to pick a title that only she can use, it’s going to be something about dogs.

Sunday was crown tourney. Lupa and Labros hung out and chit chatted, Crow marshalled, Sirius helped one of the Bear Hunters, and Shonna was the consort to Lord Algar Irenhand.

Friend of the Minions, Sir Wigthegn won with a decisive 3-0 victory.

Ferus arrived just in time for Sunday court. Lupa received the Dragon’s Heart. Highest service award given before Pelican. She was recognized for helping most the Minions register their names, all of her kingdom work and there was no mention of assassinations…nope, none at all. Lupa is now the honorable mostest ladidahest herald.

Sunday Minion practice was ridiculous. Beautiful weather, lots of people, lots of melee fighting.

On a holiday weekend during Crown Tourney when Crown was just an hour away, Minions showed up in numbers. Why didn't they go to Crown? Because they knew who would win, no anticipation, no suspense. Congratulations to our friend Prince Wigthegn. Not a shocker.

Fighting in armor yesterday at the park:
Tarquin, Brutus, Geminus, Count Rutgur, Vici, Magnus, Bekha, Mack, Jim, Cyrus, Ferus, Nebula.
Rez bridges. Duelling CA. Spears, greatswords, chaos. Lots of people on their asses.

Magnus earned his name, he fought big. Cyrus held his own with a greatsword, he has transformed himself into a monster. Rutgur fought his son a lot. Ferus and Nebula shot each other.

Legion XO Sgt. Tarquin organized the whole thing. Orange cones, drumming up attendance, scenarios. Our thanks to the Sneetch. A leader.

Recruits fought. Bekha is ready to auth weapon and shield. Mack just put on armor for the first time and got thrown on a bridge. Nyle didn't make it Sunday but fought Wednesday in melees, he will auth soon. And Jim got his armor sorted and fought. Jim is the son of Oron, a name from the mists of history.

There were ladies who need names, and dogs galore, and Sifu marshaled and Isaac shot lots of photos.

But the greatest event on Sunday was not our epic battles, nor the Tourney to decide the Midrealm Throne. It was Amelinne la Bouchiere marrying Vitus Aurelius, making her Mrs Caesar. Congratulations to you both, long may you reign.

Minion practice was beautiful.

Mother's day, not a lot of turnout. Tarquin, Cato, Vici, Magnus, and Nyle fought. Astrid shot, and got Magnus and Cato shooting too. Vito taught on the pell. Sifu, Izzi, Amber, and others hung out with Gandalf the Corgi.
