VGA ALASKA,

We had an amazing turnout this past Sunday for our State Championship at Moose Run GC - Creek Couse. It was the largest event ever for Alaskan participation as well as the largest State Championship in VGA Alaska history. What started off with beautiful weather, turn into a little rain but it didn’t dampen our spirits at all. We had members from Idaho, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin join us. We also had the pleasure of hosting the VGA West Regional Director, Mr. Kerry Stauffer as well as VGA Utah’s assistant state director, Mr. Dave Bauer.

With 41 members playing across 9 flights and some close competition throughout the day, we are graced with this year’s State Champions.

We had a great event yesterday on the week prior to our state championship! We had 34 people come out for an amazing day of golf! Next week is the state championship. First tee time goes off at 0830. We currently have 36 members signed up with room for 14 more before the waiting list. We already have members from Wisconsin and Utah signed up and we’re looking forward to an amazing event!
