Running regattas in the modern sailing climate is not easy. Less and less sailboats are being raced every year. Sponsorship money is harder and harder to find and without it regattas are impossible to run. The higher level of the sport itself has moved to foiling catamarans and spaceship looking monohulls with winged sails, they’re really not even sailboats anymore.
The sport itself is dying, so we might as well just admit defeat and save ourselves the headache.
With that in mind Cleveland Race Week is canceled until further notice, we’ll send everyone their refunds next week.

💡This week’s fleet spotlight is a fleet that does it all when it comes to CRW, the J-111’s. The J-111 fleet participates in both One Design and Offshore weekend, they just can’t get enough of CRW! They’ll also be using CRW as a tune up for their North Americans in Youngstown New York later this year.⛵️
