First steel match of the season Dynamic Shooting Sports, LLC. Got some good training in with the pistol and PCC.

Took first place in limited optics division at a local USPSA match today. Third place overall. I felt like I did really well today on all my stages except for a couple minor mistakes. Had a few deltas that I need to take care of. Good way to end the week.

Good practice session tonight at steel match. Shot limited optics, carry optics and pcc. It was my first time shooting pcc and it was fun. Might make a habit out of it. This was also a good recovery training session after my last USPSA match which was a disaster. As always………the work continues.

Been focusing a lot on dry fire and putting in extra time on it at home whenever I can. Testing out the progress in live fire practice and in matches. Mistakes are starting to become more clear when they are made, which gives me a clear goal for my next training session. These postings are from the past few dynamic steel matches and a USPSA match I was in recently. As always…………..back to work.

As always…….the work continues.

I’m out of the state until June, but I was able to find a local IDPA match this weekend. Rules are a little different than what I’m used to, but it all worked out. Turned out great and I had a lot of fun!

Final outdoor match of the season It was wet and rainy, but still a great time! Slowed down a little and focused on alphas and had a pretty high number for the match. Had some set backs: Five(5) failure to fires (two on stage 4 and three on stage 2) which could have been the ammo or I’m due for a spring change. Cost me a lot of time but that’s how it goes sometimes. Felt really good about calling my shots for the most part. Looking forward to what 2025 brings.

Results from yesterday’s steel match. Took a loss to . Nice work brother! It’s always great when I get a chance to shoot with people who are better than me. It is a driving force! Take aways from this match were; I got over confident a few targets while shooting on the move which caused me to stop and come back to them costing me time, I lost balance on the balance beam during one of the strings costing time, and too many make up shots.
