No better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to spread a special congrats from the weekend! We started our small but mighty freestyle/greco club this spring with our eye's on this weekend - the state championship! And, our wrestlers did not disappoint. Congrats to our club's first ever kids Freestyle and Greco State Champ, Brody Tittle, who took home the state title for 10U, 71 pounds. Also, congrats to Sean Todd, who finished as state runner-up in Greco and 3rd in Freestyle for 12U, 82 pounds!
Also, a special thank you to Mason Cover, who trained our wrestlers this spring. Congrats on coaching your first of many state champs, Mason!

What a youth state tournament weekend—and what a folkstyle season (year 1 for Coaches Tittle and Todd at Wildcat Wrestling Club).
The entire team put in real work from day one. Hard practices, tough losses, and steady improvement. Not everything went our way—but that’s part of it. This team kept showing up and fell in love with the grind.
We’re proud of every wrestler in this room. The progress was real.
Congrats to all wrestlers who made it and competed in the state tournament this weekend - the most ever for the Wildcat Wrestling Club. A special congratulations to our state placers:
Brody Tittle — 2nd Place
A dominant run to the finals, and then a one-point match that could’ve gone either way. That one stings—but it also shows exactly where he’s at. He’s put himself in position, and he’s not done. The good news - he was on the "young side," of the bracket, he returns to Div. 3 next year. All the other top 4 move on.
Malakai Kovalsky — 7th Place
Battled through the backside and earned it the hard way—a close win in the blood round and then a ultimate rideout, double overtime win for 7th. That’s toughness. That’s composure. That’s a guy who doesn’t break.
This is what the sport is about—earning everything, taking your lumps, and getting better because of it. Also, learning to become a better young man!
Folkstyle season’s over. Work isn’t. Time for freestyle and greco! Training for next season starts now!

Before we battle in Youngstown for the second weekend in a row with our grade school wrestlers, we’re giving a huge shoutout to our Junior High State Placers!
Keegan Kruger (6th) and Kieran Mullin (5th) left it all on the mat at the state tournament. Toughness, heart, and leadership—this is what youth wrestling is all about.
The future is bright—proud of you both!

As we march towards the state tournament, it is always good to stop and be thankful. We are thankful for the help of Chris Phillips of Phillips Trained Wrestling every Wednesday at our club. When you have one of the Goats in the room, you have no choice but to get better. Thank you, Coach Phillips!

Congrats to our final two OAC state qualifiers and district CHAMPS - Brody Tittle and Sway Aponte. This dynamic duo dominated the district tournament, both pinning their way to victory. Sky is the limit in Youngstown for these two!

As we gear up for JH state duals this weekend, we want to take a minute to recognize our JH kids that punched their ticket to the state tournament last weekend! Shout out to AJ Jordan (6th), Jace Costlow (2nd)(not pictured), and friend of the club, Carter Pelton (3rd)! We look forward to seeing you guys dominate down in Youngstown! 💪💪💪💪
