This is a proud moment. My wife, Scott Kim Curtis, is incredible. She is at New Balance Indoor Track Nationals where she qualified 7 athletes from Hawken School where she is Director and Coach of T&F and XC. Today, her gifted athlete, Christian Anderson, finished seated 5th after the Prelims, setting a PR in the process. He is rewriting Ohio’s records!

More fun coming the next day and a half. Congrats Coach and Christian!

You know, I feel blessed to have shared an amazing first track and field season coaching at Hawken School with such kind, compassionate athletes. And boy did we have fun. But more, these competitors set countless school records, advanced 8 to State’s, broke a state record that stood for 41 years, and used our season to springboard to the New Balance Outdoor Nationals……where they competed hard. 4 were able to capture All American status. What a ride.

Hawken 4x100-meter relay team sets state record - Chagrin Valley Conference

It just took 2 days for these guys to beat their own record - running a 41.53 today at District Finals. Until Thursday, that record had stood for 41 years.
