So for now, we will leave you with all of the LOVE we can muster up for you all (it ALOT!🫶🏼)! and hey… it may have been a Browns loss today, but one thing still holds true… We’ve NEVER lost a tailgate!!!

HELLO FELLOW TAILGATERS!

To say it's been a wild ride is a BIG understatement! As most of you know by now, this is my final year as being the head of B.A.T.S. Many reasons have contributed to my decision to step down. I'm not getting any younger, it's a lot of work. and I just believe it's just my time. 25 years of B.A.T.S. tailgating is a long time. Many ups and many downs in all those years of Browns teams but I can honestly say, we have never, ever had a down year in all my tailgating career. You all know the saying, "NEVER LOST A TAILGATE!". We've seen a lot of people come and go, but Melissa and I will never forget each and every one of the friendships we've made! WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! Don't think of this as a goodbye, but simply another chapter in the saga we call B.A.T.S. Tailgating. B.A.T.S. will live on through our many endeavors in supporting our beloved Veterans through American Legion Tailgates and fundraisers, as well as "at home" tailgates. You'll never get rid of us as long as YOU all want us. We will still keep up the page to inform you all on what we are doing and where to meet us! If you want to keep on top of what B.A.T.S. is up to, shoot us your name and email through the page. We may not be representing downtown, but we are still alive and kickin'! It's been an honor and a pleasure to be your tailgate leader for so many years and I will never forget any of you. So without further ado, let's get on with the details of what we'll call... The B.A.T.S. "Final" Downtown Tailgate...

So the Christmas Tailgate two weeks ago was kind of a bust with the weather and all. Don't get me wrong, for the people that showed up, we had a hell of a time! So we are having a TAKE 2 Christmas Tailgate! Yeah. I know the weather isn't looking much better, but let's be optimistic! Bring down those Christmas decorations and let's have the best tailgate we have ever had! It's also a POTLUCK Tailgate, so please bring something down for everyone to enjoy.
The bar will be open to enjoy those holiday libations! We will be there early to set up so we have all day to spend with the "BEST TAILGATERS ON THE LAKE"! Don't forget the game is at 4:05pm. Melissa and I hope to see each and everyone of you down there so we can personally hug and THANK YOU ALL for the many years of fun and dedication you all have shown for B.A.T.S. and The Cleveland Browns!

Let's talk about our other tailgate staple, the return of our 50/50 drawing! Because of all of you awesome tailgaters, we have been able to donate a nice chunk of change to the USS Cod submarine, located right across from our Tailgate. We are going to continue that this season. Now you don't have to participate, but you may miss out on leaving our tailgate a lot richer than when you came in. If you don't win the big money, you may walk away with a pretty nice door prize, not to mention the awesome feeling you'll have knowing you're helping the USS Cod stay afloat! So don't forget your cash because you may be the big winner!

Lastly, we always love to donate to other charitable causes throughout the year. We make B.A.T.S. Baskets to donate to fundraisers, among other things. If you have or see anything Browns related and would like to donate it to us, we will gladly accept. As our tailgate continues to grow, so do our requests for help. And, because of all of you, our B.A.T.S. heart continues to grow! So please consider helping us help others and keep that B.A.T.S. heart big!

Wow! Sure seems like it's been a while, but believe it or not we only have 2 tailgates left. Even though we've had a disappointing Browns season, in 25 years of being the head of B.A.T.S. we STILL have an undefeated record! NEVER LOST A TAILGATE! I guarantee another win this Sunday with our Christmas Tailgate! It will be a POTLUCK tailgate so please, if you are able, bring something for everyone to share. Also bring a little something to help decorate the tailgate spot with some Christmas decorations. Come on down and help us celebrate the holiday season and the HAPPIEST TIME OF YEAR!

Our B.A.T.S BAR is suffering... YEAH! FROM A HANGOVER! Please help us stock the B.A.T.S. BAR for the upcoming season by donating your, and everyone else's, favorite LIQUOR! We do go through a lot and with your help, we can keep that B.A.T.S. BAR fully stocked for every home game this year. We take any bottles you would like to donate, especially WHISKEY, VODKA, TEQUILA, and FIREBALL. Do you remember LITTLE BEER BRYAN and his LITTLE BEERS, now the official shot of the B.A.T.S. tailgate?
