The Land Lindy Hop: Cleveland Swing Dance

We have a new venue for our June lessons and social dances! We will be at Forest City Brewery, in the clubhouse space.

Note that Forest City Brewery is a 16+ venue. People under 16 can attend our event as long as they stay in the clubhouse and do NOT go into the bar proper.

Mark your calendars now for Thursday, August 20! Sunny Side is an incredible jazz band from New Orleans, and they'll be playing for us while on their summer tour. 🙌

You'll love this band, inspired by the timeless sounds of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, and other early jazz legends. And we've got a great venue again this year! Featuring hardwood floors, air conditioning, and drinks available for purchase at The Treelawn's historic Music Hall, this is an event you won't want to miss. All ages are welcome! No dance partner or experience necessary.

We had an issue with our venue tonight, so we are moving to the Brownhoist Cider Company!

It's free! No lesson, just hanging out and vibing to music at 7:30pm. People are still welcome to park in the Brownhoist parking lot.

We'll have an update on the June venue soon.

If you've never done swing dance before, our beginner class is the perfect place to start! Dorothea and Joseph will introduce you to the basics of Lindy Hop tomorrow, May 7th, at 7pm. We hope to see you there!

Allie and Jacob will be teaching our intermediate Lindy Hop series this month! They will be talking about momentum, connection, and redirects. Join them for their first lesson this Thursday, May 7th!

We will be hosting a clothing swap during our upcoming second Friday dance! If you are interested in participating, bring your unwanted clothing, shoes, etc., to the dance on May 8th. We will set up a swap station where you can set your items, and peruse other people's!

Any unclaimed clothing will be donated at the end of the night. Please note that this is a free clothing exchange, not a market to sell clothing. Participation is completely optional!

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at our special fifth Thursday lessons tomorrow! Come learn the Shim Sham, or try some of the Big Apple.

Lessons are 7-8pm, and our social dance is from 8-10pm!
