Motivation and Stacking your wins..👏

Motivation comes from actions, your consistent actions can be wins that add up to bring you closer to your goal.

Are you motivated?

Do you ever find it difficult to get motivated some days to workout, let alone much else? Do ever find yourself waiting to be motivated. As if some magical moment will occur and transport you from zero interest in leaving your couch to running or lifting weights or anything physical.

It happens for me, all the time.

What I’ve come to learn is that motivation is not necessarily something the just comes to you from a thought or desire. It comes from taking action.

There have been multiple workouts for me where the idea of the workout was important, but the motivation to get moving and go through the process to get started was not there.

So now it’s decision time. And the negations in your mind begin. Well, if I miss today, will it really matter? Or …I’ll just start tomorrow, or Monday mentality.

It does matter actually, because it all adds up.. and I will talk more about that in a moment.

The reality is that for most people, you just need to start an action to get that motivation. Get up and go to the gym, or grab some weights at home, or start your walk, what ever it is. Once you get going, you are likely not going to stop.

And even if you don’t do your full intended workout, if you at least get a little movement in, you have now done something towards your goal. And that brings me to my next point…

Stacking your wins.

Every action you take towards a goal will add up. Just as every action you take against a goal will take you in the opposite direction.

So your workouts, however long or short, intense or easy they may be… They all add up and they all make a difference. When you stack each time you get a workout in, it’s like money in the bank.

I think this applies to everything right?

So keep stacking your wins, stay consistent, take the action. Keep site of your goal. You are going to get there! ✨💪

Lean in 15.. Various workouts to be done in about 15 min. Today’s workout is 5 dumbbell based exercises. This is the quick demo version slightly sped up.

Complete 2 - 4 rounds as :40 seconds of work with :20 seconds rest. 1 minute rest between each full round. Use weight that challenges you for the :40 interval.

1. Offset Split Squat :40/:20 - R/L
2. Bear Crawl Row :40/:20 - R/L
3. Offset Squat :40/:20 - :20 R/L
4. Half Turkish Get Up - :40/:20 R/L
5. Alt Plank Row Push Up - :40/:20
