It’s better to FEEL these emotions then ignore them and keep numbing. FEEL in order to truly HEAL ✨

Let’s be OK with being sad or anger sometimes. Just feel into and release these emotions in a healthy way. It’s when we keep pushing them down that we begin to numb our emotions in an unhealthy, destructive way.

You have to FEEL in order to HEAL🌱⁣


Growing up I felt like I had to be the strong one in the family. The one who kept it together for all of us, and with that came building a lot of walls to push down my emotions.⁣

When my parents were fighting and my brother was crying, I was the one there to keep it together. I was the one who asked and pleaded them to stop. Then, when they got divorced I was the one to tell my mom and brother that everything was going to be okay. I knew I had to pretend that everything was okay or our family would fall apart even more...⁣

At that time in my life I didn’t get to feel and experience all the emotions and pain. I built walls and buried the pain until I had “time” to deal with it. That pain I avoided YEARS ago is still inside me because I buried it, I never faced it. That pain doesn’t disappear, it just manifests into something else like physical pain...until I am forced to recognize it and FACE IT.⁣

Here’s a plot TWIST 😮⁣

Binge eating ISNT about food 🙈WHAT?! I know! 😆⁣

It actually goes much deeper than that, most binge eaters turn to food as an escape. Food becomes an escape from stress, pain, and emotions. Food makes us numb to the pain that is inside. Food becomes a crutch, a temporary fix or spike of “happiness” that doesn’t last. ⁣

The only way to break binge eating, is to face that pain inside. To FEEL those emotions inside and acknowledge them without judgment💗 we can only TRULY heal from the inside, out.⁣

How can we begin to FEEL that PAIN and HEAL?! ⁣

👉Journaling⁣
👉Mindset work⁣
👉Food Freedom⁣

What I’ve learned so far...⁣

Take it one day at a time⁣

Forgive yourself 😊⁣

Track, track, TRACK your food & progress⁣

DRINK WATER 💧⁣

Hating yourself leads to binging & weight gain, so practice LOVING yourself daily 💗⁣

Consistency is literally the KEY, sounds like BS and you will probably ignore this part of my post but it is so TRUE. It’s a muscle that will build over time 💪⁣

Why did you show up every day?⁣
Why did you workout, meditate, and journal? ⁣

“This has to be my final binge, I start tomorrow”⁣

“I have to eat all the trigger foods today,so not to be tempted tomorrow”⁣

REPEAT...REPEAT...REPEAT⁣

I was on this cycle for WAY to long!⁣
Food became my crutch. I remember eating like 6 GIANT ice cream sandwiches and then I woke up in the middle of the night at 11pm crying in the bathroom for hours. Declaring that this would be the LAST time I binge and put my body through this...⁣

Fast forward 2 weeks and I binged again and felt like crap AGAIN 🤦‍♀️⁣

I learned that it is NOT about how bad you want it or your willpower when it comes to binging. And working out did build my confidence but it didn’t stop the binging...the only thing that started to help combat the binging was when I dove into my limiting FOOD mindset. ⁣

As a binge eater, restrictions are triggers and by finding a nutrition plan that didn’t have restrictions, and no counting calories, really gave me a great sense of freedom. More food freedom gave me more control and confidence to keep going. I started to shift my mindset and focus on the nutrients that food gives my body. By understanding food and it’s true purpose, I started to truly shift my binge mindset to one of mindfulness ✨⁣

YOU ARE NOT STUPID OR WEAK⁣

YOU HAVE TENACITY⁣

FEEL YOUR FEELINGS⁣

YOU CAN AND WILL BREAK THE BINGE! 🤍⁣

PHASE 1 ✅ ⁣

I have been a coach for 2 years and I have had my ups and downs. I would follow my workouts and nutrition plan great for 2 weeks and then I would ALWAYS give in during the last week. I would “reward” myself for being so good with food, or I would turn to food because I had a bad day. BUT their is a fine line between self kindness and self sabotage, and I was ignoring that line EVERY 2 weeks. The last 2 years have been a roller coaster of self sabotage.⁣

Going home and shoveling a box of oreos b/c you love yourself is NOT body positivity, it’s denial. And I was right there, crying the next day, bloated as hell b/c what I thought was self kindness the evening before was really not that at all. I was treating my body like a trash can, not like the temple it was and DESERVED to be treated as.⁣

The bottom line is eating like crap, made me feel like crap. After months of feeling groggy and like crap, I was OVER IT! I wanted to feel energized, confident, and happy. I wanted to become my most healthiest self. ⁣

I had to seriously DISRUPT this pattern I was on, which involved me betting on myself and shutting down every excuse that popped in my head. Really remaining focused on my HEALTH. ⁣

Now I have learned to work through my emotional eating with journaling, and meditations instead of turning to food. I created more freedom in my meals, focusing on veggies and water😊I learned that the scale has become so important to me as a source of constructive feedback, not as a source of judgement💜⁣

SELF DISCIPLINE IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF SELF LOVE. 💕⁣

NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN ON THIS JOURNEY, YOU CAN ALWAYS START AGAIN. YOU ARE WORTHY OF BEING YOUR HEALTHIEST, HIGHEST SELF✨⁣
