I think I have finally had enough time to recuperate since Sunday, and wow! That was another awesome bike race for the Battle of Toledo! Huge thank you to everyone who came out to ride our urban trails and support Youth mountain biking in Toledo!!
We had racers of all ages, from 2 years old to 60+!!
The variety of represented in the jerseys on trail showed it all, from Ohio NICA teams like the North Coast Gnarwhals and Lost in the Woods, MISCA teams like Manchester Rolling Dutch, other youth teams, like Shenanigans and Gators, to adult groups like Maumee Valley Wheelmen, thank you all for showing up!!
Big thanks to everyone who made this possible, especially Cycle Werks for showing up with last minute course marking materials, and City of Toledo for the special use permits and road closure.
The First Sip got us going in the morning with freshers brewed coffee and Field to Flame replenished our spent calories after the races.
And a huge, giant, thank you to all the volunteers that put in the hours before , during, and after the event! It take a big team to make something great happen and you did it!!!
