❤️ Some days are about a whole lot more than golf. ⛳️
Today we had the privilege of hosting the first annual ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice Tournament, and I honestly don’t think I could have picked a more meaningful organization for us to come together and support.
ConnectionsPlus is a local nonprofit that has been caring for people and families in our community for decades. They provide hospice care, advanced illness care, dementia support, grief and healing services, caregiver support, veteran services and so much more. Most importantly, they make sure people can receive the care and support they need, regardless of their ability to pay.
I think most of us know what it feels like to have to say goodbye to someone we love. It is one of the hardest things any of us will ever experience. Hospice can make those final days a little more peaceful, a little more comfortable and a little less frightening for both the patient and their family.
And that is why today meant so much.
Every dollar raised through this tournament will go toward helping families who need that care and support. Knowing that the money raised today will help someone during a time when they may feel completely overwhelmed makes every swing, every putt and every dollar donated mean that much more.
The people at ConnectionsPlus truly are out here doing the Lord’s work. ❤️
To the entire ConnectionsPlus staff and board of directors, thank you. Thank you for the countless hours, the compassion, the work behind the scenes and, most importantly, for choosing to spend your lives helping people through some of the most difficult moments they will ever face. What you do may not always get the recognition it deserves, but it matters. It matters to patients, it matters to families and it matters to this community. We are incredibly thankful to have an organization like ConnectionsPlus right here in our own backyard.
And I have to give the biggest shoutout to Autumn. ❤️
She came down week after week and learned everything she could about golf so she could help make this tournament happen. When we started, she had absolutely no idea what a green was 😂 and today she helped run an entire golf tournament.
I couldn’t be more proud of her. She jumped in, learned, worked her butt off and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I am so thankful she kept showing up and gave this tournament her heart.
This was our first annual, and we are already looking forward to next year.
A lot of our regulars were missing today because they were celebrating Hannah and Cade on their wedding day, so hopefully next year we can fill that board completely and raise even more money for such an incredible cause.
Congratulations to Hannah and Cade on beginning this beautiful new chapter together. ❤️
And congratulations to ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice on a wonderful first tournament.
Thank you for allowing us at the Dale to be a small part of your mission.
Neighbors helping neighbors. That’s what it’s all about. ❤️
And to everyone who came out, played, donated, sponsored, volunteered or helped make today possible…
Thank you. You helped make someone’s hardest days a little easier. And that’s something worth playing for. ❤️⛳️
