The Clifton Heights Boys Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Joe McKee, a man whose impact on our community will be felt for generations.

For more than 40 years, Joe gave one of the greatest gifts a person can give — his time. He coached, taught, encouraged, and supported countless young athletes throughout our area, including many right here at the Clifton Heights Boys Club. But Joe was so much more than a coach.

He was a mentor. A friend. A helping hand. The kind of person who showed up when someone needed him and never asked for anything in return.

Joe understood what youth sports are truly supposed to be about. The wins and losses eventually fade, but the lessons, friendships, confidence, and memories a great coach gives a child can last a lifetime. Joe helped create those memories for generations of families.

His kindness, compassion, faith, generosity, and enormous heart made our community a better place. There are adults today who still remember Coach Joe standing on a field, teaching them not only how to play the game, but how to carry themselves beyond it.

That is a legacy no scoreboard could ever measure.

To Joe’s family and everyone who loved him, please know that the entire Clifton Heights Boys Club family is thinking of you and grieving alongside you.

Joe gave so much of himself to his family, his friends, his players, and his community. We will always be grateful that part of his journey included the Clifton Heights Boys Club.

Some coaches teach you the game.
The special ones become part of your life.

Joe was one of those special ones.

Rest peacefully, Coach Joe. Thank you for every practice, every lesson, every encouraging word, every helping hand, and every kid whose life was better because you were part of it.

The Clifton Heights Boys Club family is heartbroken by the loss of one of our own, Chris Pastella.

Chris was so much more than a coach. He was the kind of person who gave his time, his energy, and his heart to the kids and families around him. Whether you knew him as Coach Chris, Mr. P, a friend, a father, or simply someone you saw around the field, you knew he cared deeply about his family and his community.

He spent countless hours helping young athletes learn, grow, compete, and become better teammates. But what Chris gave went far beyond football. He gave kids encouragement, confidence, laughs, memories, and the kind of support that stays with them long after the season ends.

Chris fought a long and difficult battle with incredible strength, and on September 21, 2026, he passed peacefully at home surrounded by the people he loved most.

There are people who come through a youth organization and leave a mark. Then there are people like Chris, who become part of its history.

A CHBC legend never truly dies.
He lives on in the players he coached, the families he touched, the friendships he built, the stories we will continue to tell, and the community he helped make stronger.

Every time kids run onto that field, every time a coach gives a little extra time to a player, and every time the Clifton Rams family comes together, a little piece of Chris will still be there.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the entire Pastella family.

Rest easy, Coach Chris.

Looking for a great way to keep your young athlete active, strong, and competitive during the football offseason? The Upper Darby Wrestling Association program is a great opportunity for boys and girls in grades K–8.

Wrestling is an excellent offseason sport for football players, helping build strength, balance, conditioning, toughness, footwork, and body control — all skills that carry right back onto the football field.

The Clifton Rams family is heartbroken by the sudden passing of our former coach and friend, Charles Martin Tucker.

Tuck was more than a coach. He was a mentor, a leader, a friend, and someone who gave his time and energy to helping our young athletes grow both on and off the field. His impact on the Rams family will never be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Charles’ family, friends, former players, and everyone whose life he touched during this incredibly difficult time.

Once a Ram, Always a Ram. 🧡🖤 Rest in peace, Coach Tucker. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
