The Deanna Marie Rivers Foundation is proud to welcome back The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department to our Deanna Rivers 518 Memorial Softball Tournament on Sunday, June 11th for Child I.D and Fingerprinting. Bring your child(ren) over for this wonderful service being offered. EVERYONE is welcome!!! You do not have to be associated with softball or our organization to take full advantage. Let’s join the Sheriff’s Department in doing everything we can to keep our children safe.

PLEASE spread the word… getting down to the last few days (today and tomorrow) to sign up for The Deanna Rivers 518 Memorial Softball Tournament being held on Sunday, June 11th @ The Clifton Common. This year we are excited to announce for the first time any 518 junior softball players heading into their senior year to be a part of the tournament. So that means any junior this year graduating (2024), any senior graduating this year (2023) or any senior who graduated last year (2022) are welcome to sign up and participate. We need players to roaster 4 teams. If you know any softball player in the 518 please encourage them to sign up and help us spread the word to their friends. This day is so much fun and a chance to play with your competitors on the same team, play with your friends and meet new friends. We promise you will not regret being a part of this special day.

There will be a $500 MVP scholarship awarded to one player as well as a $250 Sportsmanship Award (in honor of umpire John DeFlumer) to another player. Can’t wait to see you all there.

John DeFlumer, your heart was as big as your role. As an umpire you were hands down one of the best but as a person you were “The Best”. Your smile, your knowledge and passion for the game overflowed to every single player who had the privilege to know you. The respect you had for the players, the coaches & the parents and the respect the players, the coaches & the parents had for you spoke volumes in the Softball Community and always will. For 8 years you never missed volunteering your time at The Deanna Rivers 518 Memorial Softball Tournament. You would not only volunteer to do one game but would always come back to be a part of The Championship Game. Your heart of giving was magnetic and each player felt it. We can personally say that both our girls and ourselves included are better people for have known you and blessed to be your friends. You & your spirit will forever be in our hearts and the hearts of The “518” Softball Community.
