Welcome M. Ransom Backus !

Ransom is a black belt and has been training jiu jitsu for 20 years. He is due for his first degree later this year. Ransom’s instruction focuses on the fundamentals of connection and control which are so often overlooked in our art. In his classes you can expect to focus on jiu jitsu principals that can be carried into sport as well as real world self defense situations.

Ransom is also a full time tattooer running his 2 studios Ransom Tattoo Gallery in Ballston Spa & Shark Tooth Tattoo in Saratoga.
