In just a few days, Wyatt will leave home and begin his journey with the United States Air Force. But before he goes, we get to send him off the only way that feels right — surrounded by our Comeback family.

As his parents, we are incredibly proud…and maybe not quite ready. ❤️ But we know he is ready for what’s ahead.

Tomorrow we celebrate him, encourage him, and send him off the best way we know how.

Some comebacks are about more than what happens in the gym. 🧡

A few years ago, Jordan and Taylor Poole made the decision to take control of their health and began a weight-loss and fitness journey together. A year ago, that journey brought them to Comeback.

Since then, they’ve done things they never thought they could do, pushed themselves beyond what they thought was possible, and found a community they love doing it with.

But there’s an even bigger part of their story.

Jordan and Taylor have had a deep desire to start a family, and they feel God has led them down the path of adoption. Now, their Comeback community has the opportunity to come alongside them and support them as they take this next step. ❤️

We’ll have a send-off workout followed by a going-away party for Wyatt as he gets ready to leave for Air Force Basic Training. Come workout, hang out, and help us send him off Comeback style!

What a morning at Comeback! 🙌🔥

This morning we had the opportunity to welcome close to 60 students from Mississippi Christian University to CrossFit Comeback for a special Welcome Week workout—and they BROUGHT IT!

Lots of hard work, great attitudes, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of energy. 💪 We loved getting to introduce so many students to a little bit of CrossFit and, even more importantly, show them what Comeback is all about—doing hard things together, encouraging the people around you, and having some fun along the way.

Thank you, MCU, for trusting us with a part of your Welcome Week! We had an absolute blast having you in the gym and hope to see some of those faces back at Comeback soon! 🧡

Finding Purpose

As CrossFit Comeback grew, something became clear. Our story wasn’t just about us anymore.

God had taken one of the hardest seasons of my life and turned it into a purpose I never could have imagined.

Recovery taught me that healing doesn’t happen alone. It happens in community. It happens when people feel seen, known, encouraged, and loved. And over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how moving your body, doing hard things, and having people beside you can change a life.

That’s why Sober Savages was born.

We wanted to create a place where people in recovery could experience the same encouragement, accountability, and community that had meant so much in my own journey. A place where someone could walk through the doors exactly as they are and know they belong.

As that mission continued to grow, so did our vision.

That’s why we started The Comeback Foundation—to help remove barriers that keep people from finding hope, healing, and community. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the life-changing impact that fitness and genuine relationships can have.

Looking back, I can see God’s hand in every step of this journey. What began as our comeback has become an opportunity to walk alongside others as they begin theirs.

Thank you for following along with our story. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or just found us recently, we’re grateful you’re here.

Because the truth is…
The Comeback Story isn’t really about us.
It’s about every person who walks through our doors believing that it’s never too late to begin again.

Our Comeback

Before there was CrossFit Comeback, there was our own comeback.

There was a season of our lives when things looked very different than they do today. Addiction had taken me to a place I never imagined I would be, and our family had walked through some incredibly hard years because of it.

But our story didn’t end there.

By the grace of God, I was given another chance. Recovery gave me the opportunity to rebuild my life, my relationships, and myself—one day at a time. Adam, Olivia and Wyatt was there, walking beside me through it all.

Our comeback wasn’t quick, and it wasn’t easy. It was built in small choices, hard days, forgiveness, faith, and learning to keep showing up.

Fitness became a meaningful part of that journey. There is something powerful about learning that you can do hard things. About showing up when you don’t feel like it. About pushing through discomfort and discovering that you’re stronger than you thought you were.

Those lessons don’t stay inside the walls of a gym. You carry them with you into life.

That’s a big part of why CrossFit Comeback exists today.

We know what it feels like to need a second chance. We know what it means to start again. And we know the power of having people beside you who believe you’re capable of more.

Our story is still being written, just like yours is.

And maybe that’s the heart of Comeback: your past doesn’t get the final say in where you’re headed.

It’s never too late for a Comeback.

The Name

When Adam and I first started talking about opening a CrossFit gym again, one day he asked me, “What would you name it?”

Without hesitation, I said, “Comeback.”

I had never thought about the name before. Adam sat with it for a minute and then asked me, “Why Comeback?”

Immediately, I said, “Because it’s never too late for a comeback.”

And just like that, the foundation was laid for the culture and community we wanted to build.

I have no doubt that God put the name Comeback on my heart in that instant. Because the more we thought about it, the more we realized that every person who walks through our doors is coming back from something—and headed toward something.

What that looks like varies for each of us. Maybe you’re coming back from addiction. An injury. A difficult season. Maybe you’ve lost your confidence or stopped taking care of yourself somewhere along the way. Maybe you’re simply ready to become stronger than you were yesterday.

Whatever it is, we all have something we’re overcoming and something we’re moving toward.

At Comeback, we want people to be seen and known. We want to meet every athlete where they are and, through CrossFit, help them build the strength and confidence to face whatever life puts in front of them.

Because this was never just about fitness.

It’s never too late for a Comeback.
