Monday motivation,

🥋We have testing coming up, testing is a time for you to demonstrate what you have been taught, how well you have learned it, and how much you want that next belt.
Testing is not a time for you to hurry up and cram your practice into a few weeks and hope for the best.

That tells your instructors that you really aren’t interested in actually learning the culture, the etiquette, the discipline, the art. You just want the belt as fast as possible.

That defeats the whole purpose of training in a martial art. It’s everything learned together over time, built from the ground up to be truly proficient at your art and live the lifestyle that is Tang Soo Do, or what ever martial art you train in.

So remember, if you’re not willing to put in the work over time, do not expect to be allowed to test for your next belt because you practiced for a couple weeks. You’ve missed the point of training and therefore will miss the belt. 🥋
