Milltown Milers

The Milltown Miler's is a laid-back group of active adults in the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton area.

Our mission is simple: to provide a welcoming and social environment where adult athletes can exercise and enjoy each other's positive energy and good company! We a laid-back social running group with the intention of getting together community members interested in running and improving their health. Whether you are training for a better time in a marathon or attempting your first 5k this group is for you! We encourage all abilities to join our group for weekly runs on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm during the spring, summer and fall months.

The view from the top is AMAZING… but honestly, the run up there is pretty darn good too. 🌲🏃‍♀️ There’s nothing like earning that view with a little sweat first!

It’s food truck night! Assuming they are there. 😂
Bring your appetite—and maybe a backup snack. Just in case. 😉

Unfortunately, no. Apparently Monday is mandatory. 🙄

So we’ll just have to suffer through it and look forward to Tuesday at 5:30 PM at Hank’s Bar & Grill in Scanlon!

🌲🐿️ THIS WEEK’S ADVENTURE: FORBAY DAM 🐿️🌲

We’re taking the Milltown Milers into the woods this week because apparently running on perfectly good pavement isn't everyone's jam. 😂

📍 Forbay Dam — drive all the way to the end of Jay Cooke Road in Esko
⏰ 5:30 PM
Choose your own adventure:
🌲 Trail — trees, rocks, roots, and the occasional critter.

🛤️ Munger Trail — paved, and significantly fewer opportunities to trip over nature.

Come run, jog, shuffle, wander, or waddle your way through it. 😂

There is no pace requirement.
There is no minimum mileage.
There is no prize for being the fastest.

Basically… come as you are and we’ll figure it out from there.

If anyone is wanting to join in on a run here an option today

It’s an annual run our family hosts. This is the 16th year. We run all day & then into the powwow grounds at 7:00 or so after meeting runners from Red Lake. It’s an Anishinaabe-hosted event but everyone is welcome to join us.
